Guest guest
Hi Anna, Not sure if anyone else answered up on this but I'll give you a quick reply to cover it. ;o) Enzymes are destroyed after you hit 105* so there's none left there anyway. We're more interested in the biochemicals of the ginger than enzymes with this drink. Ginger is a diaphoretic (makes you sweat), and this is what we want. You bring it to a boil and then let it simmer for another 15 minutes. Yep, started yesterday, the coldest day of the year, maybethe decade, maybe the century..so it'll be easy toremember!!I'm doing it mostly to stay healthy although I do have acouple of issues...Anyhow, what I'm wondering is about the ginger tea that'smade and drank during the l/2 hour hot as you can stand itbath. The directions say to let it simmer. Is that afteryou bring the water to a boil with the ginger in it? Idon't want to ruin the enzymes by getting the ginger toohot. And it says to dice an inch of ginger. Well, theginger is 2 inches on some branches and less then an inch onothers. So how much ginger to the 4 to 6 cups of water? Itdidn't have the zing to it that I would expect it shouldhave. And to conserve on the 'thank yous' for answering this andhelp the moderators in future archive clean ups, I'll sayTIA THANKS IN ADVANCE for all the responses!!!!Anna
Guest guest
Very interesting on the headaches, but not unusual considering 80% of all headaches are as a result of bowel problems, and you began with a thorough bowel cleanse. By all means, add the Ginger Tea back in. Whenever I get something like this going, I push it for all its worth. You'll always come out the other side much better off than you were when you started. ;o) Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - DrCrandall herbal remedies Tuesday, January 20, 2004 5:25 PM RE: Herbal Remedies - Total Body Cleanse 1st question!! Well, I did the bath last night with just hot water and didnot get nauseous or dizzy but probably didn't get as manytoxins out either. I did sweat a lot!! I'll do the teaagain as I really want to get the most out of this!! WhatI'm finding interesting is that the usual symptom I get whendetoxing is headaches but haven't had one since starting!!Anna
