Burning a lot of sage can have the opposite effect, it can lead to a ''high'' and people with Alzheimer's need to be more grounded. Rosemary would be better to ground and clear the mind. Avec Amour, Brigitte Sage has been known to provoke seizures, except clary sage so just keep that in mind. Jamie in Az
Guest guest
I have read before that the smell of sage helps. However, I made my husband's grandmother sage after sage candle and have not noticed anything. Hers came one soon after beginning chemo treatment for breast cancer. She's 92 and has beat the cancer but the Alzheimer's is getting really bad now. She had always had a very healthy diet and got a little off track and was diagnosed with the cancer. She says it's because she quit taking her garlic cloves everyday. I have also read that to prevent onset the more active you keep your brain the better off you are. I can't remeber the exact study but it used Nuns that did crossword and those types of puzzles and also said the best activity to prevent is dancing. I would be interested in any other natural remedies too.
