Okay, Carrie Ann,

Good point. Doc you got any feed back on this one too? What you are implying here is that by taking herbs in seed form without soaking first will place the enzyme inhibitors into your body. Yes, that is true. Soak the seeds first and no enzyme inhibitors but do not sprout them or you will lose the effects. You may already be losing the effects by soaking them. I can't answer that truly as I don't know. This would be a good area of research for someone to do.

Where do we draw the line? Alcohol is quite poisonous to our bodies yet we use it in our tinctures but in very small amounts. We should only be using our herbal seeds in small amounts as well. Maybe we should tincture all of our herbal seeds too?

Then again if we take the seeds, drink lots of water with them and don't go pee for 12 hours will we be alright? LOL Sorry, had to have a bit of humor?

Seriously though Carrie Ann, you are correct in that we shouldn't use them unsoaked, but then we are using them for medicinal purposes and not food (whether that makes a difference or not I am not sure). I am hoping that Doc will have some enlightening information here that will lead us into truth. Doc oh Doc.... I know your busy but this is a very good question.

I love these discussions,

We all learn from these.

Re: Herbal Remedies - sprouts

Don, Since we are not to eat anything that isn't sprouted, if you are taking one of these seeds for their medicinal properties, is this not a good thing, then???
