Guest guest
My 2 1/2 y.o. daughter has had this persistent cough that she generally gags herself at the end of as well as sometimes does vomit. It is generally when she is running around and playing. I took her to the doctor and she said that she sounds like she has a bout of pertussis. It is going around in this area again. She did not want to give antibiotics(Thank God as I didn't want to do that) as she is past the contagious stage. She has had this since before Thanksgiving. She does not have the classic whoop though. ( It is a guess as I am not going to do the blood test on her now) She did give me an albuterol inhaler just in case for the spasms if they get too bad. Is there anything that I can do for her (besides giving her the inhaler which I haven't as of yet)? She seems to recover ok at this point. My older daughter had the cough too and is now over it, no lingering problems. This I understand can last upwards of 6 months. It is tough to get a toddler from running and playing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Fern
Guest guest
Hi, My son had a real bad cough about a week ago and I started giving him some lobelia with cayenne and echinea and the cough is totally gone. Now, it is a little strong for them so I either put a little honey or you can also put it in some apple juice, I was doing that about 3 times a day and in a matter of three days he had already stopped coughing. Good luck and let me know how it goes. herbal remedies , " irmadoodle " <irma16@o...> wrote: > My 2 1/2 y.o. daughter has had this persistent cough that she > generally gags herself at the end of as well as sometimes does > vomit.
