Dear Che,

First of all, let me apologize for seeming to come down on you. It was definitely not my intention. And with you being a newbie to our list, it might appear I'm not wishing you a warm welcome. On the contrary, I do welcome you to our list. And I'm certainly not coming down on YOU personally. ;o)

I simply disagree with your DATA. And yes we do have some arguments on our list from time to time, and they are not always unwelcome. We've had some very informative and once in a while heated discussions here, but without getting personally insulting (which would be flaming), we've managed to survive quite well and learn from the experience.

You've added some excellent information below by adding acidophilus to the regimen and I thank you for that. This is good data.

However, I did not say "Just a cleanse" as you imply below. I did not use that word "just", nor was I implying that that was all I'd do. You can bet I would get a lot more information from a patient before locking in a program for them. A cleanse would be a very good place to start though.

Without getting into "making you wrong" in any big way, it is obvious from your statement about your mother and sisters whose candidiasis "seemed to show up when it wanted", it may be concluded that they never terminatedly handled the condition.

However, I have at least two dozen patients where the condition was permanently "cured" (I know I'm not supposed to use that word, but argue that with my patients ;o), with nary a relapse whatsoever. The condition is not that difficult to permanently rectify actually.

This is an area I've looked into very thoroughly, and have much experience with, and even though what you say is correct about the sugar levels in organic fruit, the addition of potent live enzymes into the equation offsets this "supposed" negative. The oposite is true. Organic fruit as part of a diet can actually help to rid the condition. The same holds true for Diabetics. I've just seen this too many times to not be thoroughly convinced of it.

OK doc, this is not an arguing forum, this is just information that we are sharing. If I insulted you I apologized but I guess what I was trying to say is the fruits are actually alkaline forming in the body and Candida thrives on them. What is more important than any of the herbal remedies is essential fatty acids which are important in healing and preventing the fungus from destroying cells. On top of that there are numerous supplements that should be taken such as acidophilus which fights Candida infection ( non dairy formula) Also, garlic, b complex calcium and magnesium, coenzyme Q10. These are all things that are important. Not just a cleanse and organic fruit.

I am sorry doc but no matter how you look at it sugar is sugar. I grew up in a Organic Eating Family with two older sisters and a mother. Candidiasis seemed to show up when it wanted or mild cases of it. Plus I have spent the last 15 years working in a small natural food store. Everybody is different, Susan's sugar levels are going to be different than Sally's Sugar levels so, from that maybe sally and Susan should just not eat anything that is Acidic. Organic or not.

PS: There is More Sugar in Organic Fruit than there is the Cloned fruit in the super stores
