I saw a post earlier that a cracked egg is OK, but you'll need to use the

lemon egg faster than if it didn't have the raw egg in it because it'll

go bad faster.

Are the eggs the brown shelled eggs or white?

I made my first batch of lemon egg a few days ago in two separate

canning jars using brown organic eggs. In one jar one of the eggs

cracked, and in the other they were all fine. The brown shells turned

the whole concoction brown during the process, but now that it's

done, the mixture just looks milky when shaken. (I'm assuming that

things wouldn't turn brown if the shells were white.) And it's very good

in my Total Nutrition drink in the morning!!

Hi Anna,

Don't worry. It is all okay. Were the eggs you were using brown? Of so this is why the lemon juice is turning color. But no problem with egg in it. Actually adds some really cool flavor.

I'll have to check the eggs better next time. How well do you wash them and with what before putting them in the juice?

Thanks,

Hi Hanneke,

I've seen something similar with my couple batches of lemon egg. Didn't have that the first time, but had what I consider to be a better quality organic egg the first time. Second time had eggs which weren't my first choice, but still organic. Got the same kind of stuff that you're mentioning. The lemon egg is still good, but I'm specifying the brand when I put eggs on the shopping list from now on! LOL!

The egg shells now are not thin, only thinnish with lots of crumbly stuff on them (calcium?) but also, quite a few of the eggs have lumpy things on them, as if blown out from the inside with the shell stretched.

Any good udo oil will work for you... Lemon egg is one of the best ways to get calcium.. I take it straight as I don't think it would taste as good with other juices... but oj would be my choice if i mixed it.

Hi Elizabeth, How about t smoothie with some Total Nutrition, Udo's Oil, Lemon Egg and a banana? Throw some other fruit, sprouted almond milk or apple juice in and I think that covers all the bases!

Sure you could mix it with other juice. UDO's is cold processed omega oils from vegetable sources. Extremely potent and bioavailable. I love it because it comes in a bottle and I can pour it into the kid's juice or over a salad and they don't even know it is there.

I was just reading about lemon egg. I called the homeopath tonight because noah has had a runny nose for a month. she uses a radionics machine. is anyone familiar with these?

anyway-- the machine picked up that noah needs a remedy which i will pic k up tomorrow. it also indicated that noah needs calcium/magnesium supplement. could i make him some lemon egg and mix it with organic juice so he will drink it?

my other question is how can i get more omega 3 into his diet? he refuses to eat fish. i probably ought to get the udo's oil, right?

You are drinking the lemon juice and the dissolved shell only - not the egg itself. (Unless the egg broke, and then it will not last as long as with just the shell and juice)...

As for how often, that depends on you and what you are drinking it for - it is calcium... once a day is good for normal maintenance -- I try to take it twice a day for other reasons.

SuziELIZABETH ELLIOTT <eliz3378 wrote:

Were you nervous the first time you drank it? I am a little nervous. They are organic eggs, but it does freak me out a little.

Again, how often do you drink this stuff?

Someone recommended a smoothy? I am also wondering exactly what takes place in the jar when I make the lemon egg. What exactly is the calcium coming from? the shell?

Do you feel different when drinking this regularly?

Whether you are just maintaining calcium or you need more due to osteoarthritis or something....

I try to take to "swigs" from the bottle daily.
