Sesame seed butter is more commonly known as Tahini and is very good. Hopefully you will find it in a cooler. Though they may have it on the shelf but check for preservatives first. Otherwise, buy your own sesame seeds and make your own tahini fresh.

Sounds WONDERFUL!!! I have the chickpeas already, but I have to show my

ignorance and ask what "tahini" is and where I would find it in the health

food store.

Thanks! :)

Your welcome Kelli,

Well to be honest with you I haven't tried it yet. However, I do have the sesame seeds (organic) and the distilled water so I guess tomorrow is as good a day as any.

Soak organic dried chickpeas overnight or 24 hours, about 1.5 cups.

Change the water a couple of times. Drain and cook till done, drain.

When cool put in the food processor, add 2 tbspns organic lemon juice,

2 tbspn organic tahini and 2 tbspns water. Add one clove of organic garlic

crushed and chopped finely. I love garlic but when I added 2 cloves it

was too much, I had to throw it out. You will probably need more water,

just add in small amounts 1 tbspn at a time, till you get the thickness

you want. I make mine really thick, so that the food processor takes a while

to get things moving!

How bad is it? They also said take Plain yogurt w/active cultures and put it directly on it! Oh no! also wear cotton under gear because the synthetics tend to make it worse.

I would suggest Pau D' Arco non toxic and and should do the trick!

NO CITRUS< DAIRY< RAW MUSHROOMS OR GLUTENOUS GRAINS such as oats, wheat, barley. Try brown rice and millet. Also NO ALCHOHOL

I hope it gets better!

Let me know.Persian <persian13 wrote:

In my origianl post on candidiasis I said some sourceswere saying no fruits, some all fruits, some no oranges ,some no bananas.I don't think I can remove the hummus from him, its all he has at the momentfor his lunches. The 2 tbspns of lemon juice lasts over a week between the 2 of us.We also eat tomatoes :( It gets worse!thanks for thatPersianFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Don,

This recipe is from a guy who frequents lots of vegan recipe and vegan food

lists

and he goes by the nick Mr Falafel ! :LOL He swears this is the best falafel

recipe!

Persian

" "

Falafel

---------------------------

(Makes about 18 patties)

1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked in 5 cups of water for 25 hours

1 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup very finely minced onion

2 tablespoons very finely minced parsley

1-teaspoon ground roasted cumin seeds

1 teaspoon ground coriander

2 cloves garlic, peeled and mashed to a pulp

Freshly ground pepper

1 tablespoon lemon juice

a pinch (or more) of cayenne pepper

Oil for frying

Drain the chickpeas and put them into the container of a good processor or

blender. Add the baking soda and salt. Turn the machine on and blend until

you have the texture of coarse bread crumbs or fine bulgar wheat. You

should NOT have a paste.

Empty the chickpeas into a bowl. Add the onion, parsley, cumin, coriander,

garlic, black pepper, lemon juice, and cayenne. Mix gently with a fork. Do

not pat down. This mixture should be loose and crumbly.

Put 2 inches of oil in a wok or other utensil for deep frying and set to a

heat on a medium-low flame. You need a temperature of 350 to 375 degreesF.

While the oil heats, form the first batch of patties. Using a very light

touch, form patties that are about 2 1/4 inches in diameter, about 3/4 inch

thick in the center and less so at the edges. Do not pat down or try to be

too neat. The patties should just about hold together. Put as many patties

into the hot oil as the utensil will hold in a single layer. Fry about 4

minutes or until the patties a reddish brown on both sides. Turn at least

once during the frying process.

When the patties are done, remove them with

a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel. do all of the patties this way.

Serve hot, with Tahini Dipping Sauce. You may also tear open an end off a

pita bread, stuff in two falafel and some shredded lettuce and sliced

tomatoes, and then douse the stuffing with 2 tablespoons of Tahini Sauce to

make a Middle Eastern sandwich. Don't forget to add the hot chili pepper

sauce or Tabasco.
