Guest guest
Here's a knee exercise that was developed by a chiropractor who had injured his knee and had, needless to say, tried everything for it. At the time, I was dealing with a knee injury of a year old where I had lost range of motion at 90 degrees. No pain, just could no longer stoop down completely. I, too had tried everything. I would guess arthritis was setting in for both of us. In a sitting position in a chair, take 20 seconds to extend your lower leg completely up. Your upper leg should remain on the chair. Return it to the starting position and repeat this two more times on the same leg. Do this once or twice a day until you get results. If it's going to help, you should notice a change in two to four weeks. It's an extremely benign exercise but I decided to try it and by golly after more then a year, I could once again stoop down!! I think it took about two weeks. It's a miracle, hee hee. Some of my patients get results, some don't. But, at least you won't break out in hives from some nasty drug if it doesn't work. I can't explain how it works either, something about retracking the ligaments and/or cartilage. Anna <<<< I now have some swelling to the right of the knee cap but I can live with that disfigurement... the things I've mentioned have kept me basically pain free... except a weather change once in awhile tells me it's there. >>>
