Guest guest
While on the subject of milk, what do y'all use for formula for a Mother who couldn't nurse 'cause of her pain meds? The medicos have the baby on a cow's milk formula and the baby does not like it having colic at night. They say goat's milk doesn't have the needed vitamins and they don't recommend soy either. Oh sheesh...I was so petrified of formula...I had a baby, formula fed...that is my 12 year old, all those food and fruit allergies, asthma, bronchitis, spoiled tummy, used to spit up so much from all the coughing, by the time she could walk, she would just go to that bathroom, throw up and ask for something to eat!!! I just tried to use my pain meds sparingly while nursing the second, and wouldn't you know, no allergies, no asthma, only spit up twice in her entire life!! Until 2002 or so, I let those medicos brainwash me into getting her immunized and a week later she was sick as bejeezus for a week, temperatures, throwing up, dehydration, flu like everything!!! I was sooo pissed I could have spit in public...GASP!!! So, my rationing of pain meds to a few days for the postpartum contractions was far less evil then the medi-pharma cartel's plan to innoculate and promote that blasted silent killer in the pretty cans!!! No offense to those that have to bottle feed, but ask an elderly family member, most of mine are gone now, but I remember something about molasses or some sweetener, and water mixed with something..it was a rather involved recipe, and of course I was too young to pay much attention..sigh.
