Guest guest
I have been shopping for ingredients for TT and TN amongst others. Is there a substitute for horseradish? I've been to about a dozen stores and no-one has it or they haven't had it for about 3 years. Is kelp a good replacement for the dulse in TN? I've been to and called so many stores about this one and no-one has even heard of it, not even the oriental stores. Also the yeast, I can only get Brewers yeast, is this OK? Can you dry beet root the same way as dehydrating TT pulp, if you slice it thinly? The wintergreen oil in the Deep tissue formula, is that an essential oil? Is there a replacement for DMSO? Thanks for any help Love & Light Carolyn (Being in West Aus is a pain for getting good ingredients)
Guest guest
I have never made the TN myself, but substituting can't hurt. I don't see any reason why you couldn't substitute kelp for dulse. Kelp is very nutritive and is typically a combination of seaweeds. Horseradish, my guess is you can substitute for wasabi which is also a kind of horseradish. Brewer's yeast is also nutritive, it just has a very pungent taste... but mixed with the other things it can't be all bad. As far as the beets... I have no idea. I substitute things for other things all the time in my herbal formulas and my cooking so... I guess that is where my opinion came from! Wintergreen oil... I saw the formula and I would assume it is the essential oil of the Wintergreen plant, though I know that you can get an EO from birch that is also considered wintergreen. I use the EO from the plant (Gaultheria procumnems) in foot lotions and as a rub for cramps. herbal remedies , " bcamlps " <bcamlps> wrote: > I have been shopping for ingredients for TT and TN amongst others. > > Is there a substitute for horseradish? Guest guest
Keep in mind that when you substitute (depending on what you are substituting) it changes the properties of the formula. This maya not give you the results you were looking for. Suzik_huether77 <k_huether77 wrote: I have never made the TN myself, but substituting can't hurt. Guest guest
Ordering any of these things online is a problem. It costs AU$100 per item just to get it through customs, then there is the 'certificates to verify no diseases etc, plus the other 2 or 3 approvals needed, I didn't look into the cost of those because I can't afford even the AU$100 for 1 item. Thanks anyway Love & Light Carolyn herbal remedies , Suzanne <suziesgoats> wrote: > See answers below... > Suzi > > bcamlps <bcamlps> wrote: > > I have been shopping for ingredients for TT and TN amongst others. > > Is there a substitute for horseradish?
