Mad as Hell - by Dennis H. Clarke, mad cow and Alzheimers

Does anyone remember when Alzheimers was first given all the media

attention a number of years back? Wasn't the brains of Alzheimers

victims described in the same manner as the brains of mad cow victims

(either human or animal)? Am i way off base, remembering it wrong..

or is there a similarity in all this? Alzheimers... mad cow....

And remember a world WITHOUT Alzheimer's? (Well, OK, not entirely

without it, per se, but it sure wasn't in everyday conversation and

not everyone knew someone who had it back then!)

And I'm not quite sure we're gettin' the whole truth about Mad Cow,

either. I mean, it sort of erupted out of nowhere, as far as I know.

Just where in the hell did it come from? Why wasn't it there before?

It's almost like it was manufactured or something...you know, like

AIDS.

I remember Diane. And I don't think you are way off base either. THe clinical manifestations, as I remember them are very similar!! The erosion of brain tissue, all of it..and then...they gave us Aricept and the pharma cartels had that and that damnable Viagra!!! So, unless we were both foggy about the head, I know EXACTLY what you are tlaking about!!! Love and Health...
