Guest guest
Can anyone suggest anything that would help my 5 year old son that has strep throat? I took him to the doctor today and they prescribed 10 days of antibiotics and I really don't want to give it to him. Has anyone had any good experiences with herbs and strep throat? Thank you. marcela

Guest guest
Total tonic is natures antibiotic.. It is in the files under Dr.Ian Shillington.. easy to make. Well, normally you take a clove crush it and swallow with water, apple juice, whatever.. It might be hard for a 5 yr old.. If you can get him to take them you can do say 5-6 a day... 12 for an adult Total tonic 3-4 times a day... 1 dropperful in some apple juice if he can't handle it straight If you can't put together the total tonic right away... do you have any whiskey or bourbon? Take some in a shot glass and have your son sipp it... this will be hard but it will kill germs. Had an old college dr give me this prescriiption I did it at nite and in the am I was supposed to gargle it... that was hard.. I was 18 and first taste of alcohol... marce0313 <marcelaweiland wrote: Thank you so much for answering. What is total tonic? Guest guest
I had a good experience with Bee's Royal Jelly as well. It comes in little 1 or 2 oz containers (at usually about $10/oz) and I took about a teaspoon with some honey to help with the taste. Make sure to get the refrigerated kind, it's more potent than the room temp kind. Has powerful antibacterial and antiviral properties. I also took soaked in a hot bath (as hot as I could possibly stand) with epsom salt to help my body cook the virus (since I was running a fever). By the next day it was 75% gone and the day after that it was gone completely and I had 100% of my energy. I missed no school, nor any work. (Contrast that with my previous experience with strep throat--when I was still brainwashed into thinking the medical establishment was the only way...they gave me a shot of antibiotic in the hip and it took a full month to get my energy back!) Hope that helps, too Suzi does know more than I do, tho. But that's just my experience. Guest guest
Hi Tiffany, You are correct. Hype. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using echinacea with children. It is extremely effective. Now buying supplements and using those is not necessarily a good idea as most supplements leave a lot to be desired and some are totally worthless. Best is to make your own from either the fresh or dried root. Guest guest
Hi AGAIN Tiffany, LOL Organic apple cider vinegar can be used in place of alcohol. However, alcohol is much better to use for the trees trunks and roots. However, any alcohol tincture can have the alcohol "boiled " off in water, acv or glycerin and then you will have a water, acv or glycerin extract. Alcohol is the best for extracting the constituents of the herbs. ACV comes next with glycerin last. Guest guest
interesting. HEres me next question...of course, and Im not promoting meds...just keep my background as a nurse in mind as I ask this. You know when they culture you to fnd out what bug is causing something...well then you know that bug is not always treatable by a particular antibiotic...different antibiotics for different bugs. Is the TT, or natures antibiotic going to kill ALL bugs causing something or certain types, such as strep? tiffanyDon Quai <mysticalherbalist wrote: Hi Tiffany, Total Tonic has lots of fresh raw garlic, onions and horseradish that will help knock out anything. Strep can be pretty nasty. When I did peds cardiology we had a few pretty sick kiddos who went without treatment for strep and ended up in arrest...so it makes me catch my breath every once in awhile. ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Hi Tiffany, Consider who will be footing the bill for the pharmaceutical companies in another 20 - 30 years or so. They do not want your children healthy. They want them dependent on their drugs so they can continue to flourish. Don Quai hmmm, thanks Don. Do you know why they say it is ineffectivein kids? Just wondered... ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Tiffany, here is an excerpt of Doc's from an article in the files "Cold and Flu Season" which everyone should read as there is alot more information in this article.. This tincture (Total Tonic) taken with Echinacea and DMSO can successfully wipe out any cold, flu or plague bug going around. And it does it FAST. By themselves they are awesome enough, but taken together they are unbeatable in handling viruses, bacteria, and fungi with no negative effects or damage to intestinal flora in your system whatsoever. SuziTiffany Schaibley <ericandtiffanys wrote: interesting. Guest guest
Suzi, I prefer to use Astragulus to Echinacea. Would it be o.k. to take Astragulus with the TT instead of Echinacea when needed? Guest guest
If you're building your immune system astragulus is fine... If you're getting a cold or flu.. I would reach for the echinacea first.Echinacea is most effective when used for acute conditions such as colds and flu. Limit usage to two weeks or less for optimal results. Astragalus is an immune builder and Echinacea is an immune stimulator Echinacea (for short term) providing anti-bacterial and anti-viral activity, stimulating the immune system, and astragulus (for long term) increasing the white blood cells (the immune builder) Does this help?
