Hi all, I've been (mostly) a lurker to this group for a few months now, and

have taken some basic steps to make my life better, from choosing organic

when possible to giving my son the herbal rememdies given here to help him

through the flu. (My MIL had a heck of a time with my methods, but he got

better, his diahrea stopped, and he quit barfing all after I nailed him as

soon as the symptoms started, so she just mumbled to herself mostly (she's

got a degree is psychology and her first response is drugs so you can

imagine what my garlic and cayenne and cinnamon did to her!LOL)) Anyway,

what I want to know is which school is the best out there for getting a

formal education on how to do all this. My dh and I have decided it's time

to make a move and as he's a trucker we have the whole country open to us

and we haven't decided where we want to go. I want to go back to school and

I want to do something I am passionate about and healthy living and natural

medicine are right up that alley. My dh knows how I serious I am about this

and so far all my searching has lead to is internet classes and I'm

intreasted in someplace where I can get good hands on experience with

someone there to guide me.

Thanks,

Tee

John Christophers School of Natural Healing would be my first choice.

Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. We are not medical doctors although MDs are welcome to post here as long as they behave themselves. Hi Talea,

I took my science courses alongside a group of Canadians who were

planning to go back to their home in Ontario for school. From

everything I've heard, the schools are very good there too. You may

want to investigate " border " schools that you could drive to easily

while you keep residence in the states. I'll see if I can find out

what schools they all went off to for you. (May be a while

though 'cause I'm taking off in a couple of days for the southwest

and won't be back for a time.) I know that one headed back to

Toronto to study naturopathic medicine, but others went here and

there. Most of the folk I know who are now practicing or planning to

attend a school of Naturopathy are really great human beings. More

concerned about true health and helping people than financial gain or

public acknowledgement. Although I was formerly trained by a Swedish

herbalist, I am now studying the chinese disciplines. My big hurdle

is the language (I've only taken a year of mandarin), but it is worth

the effort. This field is like music (my first career) There is so

much to know that I'll never stop learning! And working with nature

is so fulfilling. I'm rambling on again. Good luck and I'll post

you that info when I can get it. - dolly
