My diet prior to their births was very balanced with alot of Japanese food both times (not sushi). As far a total Body Cleanse program, Im afraid that may be a little rough on them. I dont want to take a chance on dehydrating them thru loose stools or anything like that. They are both really tiny and dont have alot of room for error there...so anything that has the potential of losing weight or such is not an option. Their diets now are pretty good...they eat alot of veggie stuff with mommy...we monitor alot of their diet based on their asthma symptoms.. tiffanySuzanne <suziesgoats wrote: Lobelia Tincture, Panther Piss, and as always, aTotal Body Cleanse Program along with a diet change..to a more raw veggies and fruit., sprouted grains,,. cut out the dairy, sugar, sweets, soda, (if this applies), Curious, what was your diet like when they were born? and what is it like now..and theirs Tiffany Schaibley <ericandtiffanys wrote: My girls..ages 3 and 5 both have had asthma since the beginning of their time. Guest guest
Have them breathe deep to keep those lungs open [when they are well] you can make a game of it to get them to do a excercise of this everyday, this is very important. Sounds like you`re doing alot of things right especially their diet, and don`t let them be around anyone smoking that takes my husband down faster then anything. Hope this helps Sandra
Guest guest
Hi, I have a 2 1/2 yr old boy. At the age of two 3 times throughout the year (when he had a cold) he got a terrible asthma attack. The first time we went to the ER. The 2nd time to the DR. The 3rd time we had been on thes list and been doing research and we did the following: Lobelia/peppermint tea administered frequently, then made into a syrup and used throughout the rest of the day. Hot and cold. After using the tea the symptoms disappeared within a half hour, the hot and cold also I believe was a contributing factor. We found this worked faster than the treatment the DR gave us (stuff that you mentioned.) The 4th time he got sick we gave him lobelia tincture before the symptoms showed up and he never got an attack! Suzi mentioned diet and that is very important. We are vegetarians, however since I became more careful to cut anything processed out he has been doing much better. My MIL also has asthma. One day from work she came home and in the door she was barely able to breathe, she went straight for her ER inhaler and sat down. It didn't do a thing. I gave her some lobelia tincture and within 30 seconds she could breathe and was doing much much better. She now uses it all the time as a preventative as needed. Guest guest
Hi Tiffany. I have had asthma for most of my life. I have not had an asthma attack for 14 months. I still carry a rescue inhaler "just in case". I stopped all dairy products. milk, cheese, butter. There is milk or whey in so many processed foods also. I know it's hard on children to have no milk products, but this definately helped me. Try to stay away from the steroid inhalers. I think they are bad for the child in the long run. Keep the albuterol. (I really hate albuterol..makes my heart race. I Only use it when necessary. Still have the nebulizer on hand, just in case) I am not a coffee drinker, but have found the caffeine in it helps during heavy wheezing. Maybe try some hot tea for the girls if they start wheezing. It has much less caffeine than coffee. I know benedryl isn't an herb, but it is better than steroids. If they've been exposed to something that causes an allergic reaction, you may want to give them a bit of childrens liquid benedryl. Over thanksgiving, we had dinner with relatives, and all the food was rich, gravy, creamy veggie dishes, and cheesecake (my personal downfall) For the next week and a half, I wheezed, and felt on the verge, but did not have a full blown attack. I ate better at christmas dinner, but still... I knew better, and suffered for it. I guess what I'm saying, is to try to keep all dairy products away from them, and hopefully get them to eat a healthy diet. Lots of fruits and veggies, raw if possible. do they have specific triggers? Mine is dairy, mold, and chemicals, like those given off by wet paint, or spray cleaners. you probably know their triggers, and keep them away from them. And even a taste of a food they are allergic to can cause a reaction. I don't know of any herbs to try. They say mullien smoked, or coltsfoot, but don't think that is appropriate for children. hope this helps windflower Tiffany Schaibley <ericandtiffanys wrote: My girls..ages 3 and 5 both have had asthma since the beginning of their time. Guest guest
Tiffany, I strongly recommend the Total Nutrition formula for your whole family. An excellent herb for healing and supporting respitory function is Mullein. My daughter was diagnosed with asthma at 2 years old. I had her on another all-natural multivitamin and the mullein. The attacks came fewer and farther between then diminished all together. Switching to as many certified organic foods has helped enormously too I think. Hope this is helpful to you. Guest guest
4 oz. of dried herb in a sterile glass jar. Pour highest proof vodka you can get to cover by 2 inches. Sorry I don't use real measures much even for cooking. Make sure you let it sit for at least two weeks and press on the full moon. Guest guest
No kidding! Jesse had the flu in early December followed by a sinus infection that kicked up her asthma for a bit. I would be thrilled to get her under control. I will look up making the Mullein Tincture...that may be an idea..thanksJanet Seidlitz <dragonhealing wrote: She no longer needs it. I actually slipped a dropper of tincture in her juice twice a day for about a year. I think this and good nutrition is what helped her body heal itself.
