Detox/cold & flu question

Jen,

When doing a detox to start with you may feel unwell: tired, headaches even sick. This could last one or two days up to two weeks. The good thing about this is that it is a sign that toxins are withdrawing from the body and the “healing crisis” has begun.

After this initial phase you should gradually start to feel better with increasing energy and concentration. After four weeks your body will be back to neutral and you should be feeling re-energised and good about yourself. You may also find that you have lost some fat weight.

As for an illness being a detox triggered... well, unless you are doing a detox..I would more tend to think the illness is your body telling you that you NEED to do a detox, not triggering it. Your body is saying enough is enough...I need help. I can't cure you on my own without your help.

Just my thoughts on this.

Hey all :)I just read something interesting. The author asserts that one cause of illness is really a detox triggered during the first colder weather by the body constricting (in reaction to this cold weather) and forcing out some of the toxins that were lodged in the system. It seems to make sense to me, but my fiancee wants more substantiation of that theory. (I guess I do, too, because I like to see a claim be backed up by multiple credible sources before I add it to my small arsenal of knowledge ;) )Can anyone shed light on this?/
