What I've found says

Excessive consumption of Cayenne can cause gastroenteritis and liver damage.

However, I would check with Doc on this one.

I read in an article recently that people with liver problems should not take cayenne. If this is true, does it apply to all hot peppers as well?

Well the pepper isn't hot if it doesn't have capsicum in it. The capsicum must be what they are referring to in the article. But seeing as how you are still emailing us questions then I guess the article isn't true for you is it? LOL
