Guest guest
Hi all. I'll try to keep this brief, as time is very limited for me at the moment. I will post a more, and more indepth as time allows. In a nutshell: Monday evening on my way home from work, I had two feinting spells. Fortunately I felt them coming on and was able to pull over and stop the engine. My wife insisted on taking me to the ER. They did some blood work and stuff, monitored my heart, etc. No low blood sugar, no anemia. Nothing that they could pinpoint as the cause. However, some of the blood work would take a few days for the results to show. So I made an appointment with an MD (you can all take turns slapping me. I was frightened and my wife was almost hysterical). I saw him today. He says I have severe liver damage, and may need a transplant. He even suggested it might be cancer. He ran more tests, the rusults of which I will find out probably Monday. When I asked him what caused it, he looked back in my chart. About two years ago, I was seeing another doctor at the same clinic (we are on MidiCal) because I couln't stop vomiting at any given moment. That was when they did the surgery, wrapping my esophagus. Anyway, this "Dr" had me on such a toxic level of so many different medications that it apparently permanently damaged my liver. My current Dr read the indications of the 1/2 dozen meds, and most had the warning that they could cause liver damage. Of course, I was never told this. And the levels he had me on were dangerously high. So, now I have an appointment to have my liver ultrasounded on Monday, and a referral to a liver specialist at some undertimined point in the future. Can't you just see it. An office assistant on MediCal. Yup, I'll be right at the top of the list for a new liver. Anyway, all good thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated! I am terrified, and Marilyn is hysterical. I truly love you all! John Free Pop-Up Blocker - Get it now
Guest guest
Hey Amigo, I knew that all that French chatting between you and Brigitte would come to no good. Now you went and caught yourself a case of French Liver-itis. LOL Seriously though, I am truly sorry to hear this bit of news. You will be in my prayers daily, along with your liver. There is a lot of healing energy coming your way along with a lot of love. Do not hesitate to call Doc ASAP. Also, do not hesitate to call on any of us any time you need to vent or whatever. We will all be here for you to help you in any way we can. Nothing is permanent. Any damage can be undone. But you have to be positive and believe in it yourself. That is your first step and your second is to start educating yourself as to available healing options and get serious about wanting to continue living with your own liver for the next 60 - 600 years or so. I do believe that Brigitte is right in that you should go with castor oil packs on your liver ASAP. I also think that Doc will recommend that as well. My prayers and love go out to you John. Bear up under the burden God has given you to bear. This is only a test of your faith and perseverence and you can overcome anything if you so desire it. Guest guest
Another thing to check out John, Oxygen therapy. Talk with Doc about this. Ozone/peroxide. See what he recommends. The extra oxygen (the active one) just loves to clasp onto toxins and help remove them from the system, this includes French Livers. I have been doing some reading up on the uses (therapeutic) of ozone and peroxide and am quite amazed at the usefullness of these products and the lack of information out there on there usage. Seems someone doesn't want this kind of info leaking into the mainstream public awareness. Just a thought my habanero eating friend. I will be there to celebrate along with everyone else at yours and Marilyn's salsa party. Guest guest
Hi Brigitte, Something you might find worth checking into as well is ozone/peroxide therapy for your condition of French Liver-itis. Seriously, it might well be worth it and at least you will obtain knowledge of ozone/peroxide therapy. At best you will get your old liver back in good condition. Lots of info on it out there. All you need to do is educate yourself then find someone who does this therapy routinely. Just make sure that anyone you find are qualified and check with their previous patients as well. HTH, Don Quai Glad you enjoyed the humor and weren't offended. Be in peace and light Brigitte. - Bridge herbal remedies Saturday, December 20, 2003 5:43 AM RE: [herbal remedies] Oh, boy Don, I just love your sense of humor (sp) and I really believe that it is a great part in the healing process. I really think that I am on the right track to get better (at least my French liver) since I don't seem to be able to think in French anymore. I thought that I would be able to assimilate everyone to French and look what happened to me..:-( I'll just blame the silly pill that Granny Lee showed me how to catch. I also want to thank you for talking for all of us in supporting John through all this.. I am happy to be able to join my prayers and positive thoughts to a great group like this one. Guest guest
Thanks, Carrie! I am researching milk thistle even as we speak. It appears great for damage done by hep, but from what I've read, not recommended for damage from scarring. I'm still checking it out, though. I am taking a strong infusion of burdock root, dandelion root, oregon grape root, and ginger. I am thinking of adding gentian to it as well. Also, you might consider taking some Silymarin (milk thistle extract) to repair and rejuvenate the liver. Take 200 milligrams 3x a day. Guest guest
Thanks, Don. I am in the process of making my ceyanne oil even as we speak. It's been in the crock pot for about 6 hours now. I put in about 2/3 cup ceyanne powder, and sliced up 6 dried habeneros just for fun, and covered it liberally with cold pressed olive oil. Let me tell you, this place smells GREAT!!! JohnDon Quai <mysticalherbalist wrote: OOoooohhhh, now that sounds divine indeed. I am very glad that you are keeping your sense of humor John.
