I've mentioned how I got sick last month and Doc, bless his soul, said it was part of the detox thing. (Which totally makes sense! During my big detox about a year ago, I would have a healing crisis every time I made a positive dietary change, and there were many of those, which I did in stages...I just implemented dietary changes as I learned of better ways of eating.) But anyway... This last time I tried something different. I did NOT have pineapple juice, because even though it's a natural decongestant, I've found that even the 100% juice (no sugar added, etc) has a lot of sugars in them, which if I'm correct, are mucus-producing. (?) So instead, I had soup. It's this good tofu-made " no-chicken " soup which tastes JUST like chicken and has no preservatives, etc. I added lots of garlic powder (no salt) and a lot of spirulina flakes. I mean, a serving size is either 1 or 2 tblsps and I put in like 5! Y'all know what, tho? I kicked that cold so fast it wasn't funny. I didn't even lose my voice like I did with every other cold I've ever had. And I slept great after one rough night. I was back to normal in no time.
