Guest guest
To help my skin, I also take Burdock and Vitamin C. Some acne is caused by an abundance of toxin in the system. The skin is a large part of the excretory system and when there is toxic overload, the skin can't excrete the toxin fast enough and pimples form. Burdock is an herbal blood purifier. I personally know of no side effects or dosage limitations. I just know that when I take it, my skin is better the next day because the Burdock will bind to the toxins and eliminate them from the system quickly and harmlessly, according to what I've read on it and my own experience. Vitamin C also seems to help. Not quite sure why, I haven't studied it much, but it may have something to do with the fact that it strengthens tissues. Each vitamin tends to accomplish a whole list of neat tasks. And I had something interesting happen to me recently: after about a month of extremely-decreased meat/poultry consumption (I still like some cheese, butter, and salmon), I ate 2 fast-food burgers in one day and the next day we went out and I had a fried chicken sandwich. It was THEN that my chin broke out and nothing worked (not even Burdock, which surprised me!) except rubbing those sliced strawberries on my chin. So my other moral of the story is that I now stay away from beef and all fast food. I'm probably about 90-95% vegan now.
