Guest guest
<<<Anyone know why strep is suddenly so prevalent?>>> Because of the overuse of........drum roll....antibiotics!!!!!! Go to the files and look in Doc’s recipe file for the Total Tonic a natural antibiotic. We chiropractors have called this the antibiotic merry go round for years. They kill the good intestinal bacteria thus trashing the immune system. Using drugs to control the fever keeps the kids sick too. But, it keeps ‘em coming back to the Medico sick sick sick. Makes lots of money and creates lots of jobs, who’s to argue unless you don’t like being sick and throwing your money down the drain and wasting your time in the WAITING room. But OTOH, it gives you lots to talk about to your family and friends. Golly, if the kids weren’t sick all the time, what WOULD you talk about!?!?! I estimate 75% of conversations these days are about sickness and all the trimmings. And, gee, what WOULD you do with all that extra time!?!?! <rant on> chiropractors are accused of this too and we do keep you coming back but you’re healthy when you keep coming back to us and we keep you that way. Contact Doc about buying some of these formulas. He has them all made up for you. Anna
Guest guest
A big part of the reason is the overuse of antibiotics. For example, MRSA can be traced to this. One wonders if hiv wasn’t somehow the result of overuse of antibiotics, and the subsequent evolution of critters that are resistant to known antibiotics- the so called killer viruses. But of course we are all couped up in airconditioned buildings all the time, eat foods that have been genetically altered or filed with chemicals, and in general our lifestyles are very unhealthy. -----Original Message----- keridwen2000 [keridwen] Sunday, December 07, 2003 2:45 PM To: herbal remedies [herbal remedies] Re: mono--strep throat I'm curious about strep throat and if antibiotics are the only thing that can be done. In the office where I work, everyone's kids seem to have strep all of the time. They tottle off to the doctor to get their antibiotics four/five times a year. The claim is that to not do so endangers their kids and makes it likely they will get rhuematic fever, damage their heart...any number of life threatening situations. And antibiotics are the only answer. Is this true, or are there other ways of handling this. When I was a kid, nobody ever got strep and now it seems it is as common as the common cold. Anyone know why strep is suddenly so prevelant? Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and to prescribe for your own health. Guest guest
Antibiotics of course. Good old salt water gargle 4 or 5 times a day will kill the strep bacteria as they cannot survive in a strong saline environment. Sage tea will do the same but from a different perspective. There is no reason to use antibiotics for minor medical situations, other than to continue to pad the pharmaceutical bank accounts. A major life threatening situation, yes, I can see the use of antibiotics but never for cold, flu, sore throats, acne, jungle rot, etc... Don Quai Oh yeah, if one changes ones lifestyle and diet to a more raw natural one full of sun, exercise, raw fruits and green leafy veggies and herbs than one will probably never have to worry about strep throat or any other dis-ease. - keridwen2000 herbal remedies Sunday, December 07, 2003 11:44 PM [herbal remedies] Re: mono--strep throat I'm curious about strep throat and if antibiotics are the only thing that can be done. Guest guest
Hmmmm..well, what I used when I had strep was a tea I concocted, and now use the tea whenever I am feeling sick (cold, flu, etc.)...I would get fresh lemons, slice them...about as many as 5 or 6 in a pot of water....then add some garlic cloves, chopped, some sage leaves, some ginger root sliced or chopped, and a couple of sprigs of rosemary. simmer about 10 to 15 minutes...(if there is a fever, I add maybe some brandi or whiskey)...(you can strain it to keep stuff out..but I usually just leave it there, so it sits in the cup and keeps giving all it has...add some honey to make it palatable (the more lemon the better it tastes)...it kind of looks like a garden stew..but when I take it, it seems to shorten the life of the bug significantly. Soothes the throat. Seas Salt water gargles work very well to draw out infections...I didn't figure that out until I used salt water on my piercings (non iodized) and it would draw all the impurities out and heal twice as fast as estimated. Good luck...I hope he feels better soon.... BlazeTrue health starts with the mind and manifests in the body...
