Guest guest
Hey all, I had seen a natural-homemade-beauty-secret type show on PBS last fall and this lady was talking about all kinds of things we could do naturally, effectively, and for pennies on the dollar. She mentioned eggs in shampoo, margarine as makeup-remover, diluted essential oil as perfume and bubblebath, and she said that making a face mask out of a mush of I think bananas and strawberries would help the skin. Usually, IF I have a breakout on my face for any reason, Burdock (a blood-purifying herb) takes care of it by the next morning. But this was a particularly stubborn breakout on my chin, it'd been 3 days, and it wasn't going away. So I had some strawberries, sliced them up, and rubbed some of the slices across my chin and jawline. Lo and behold, my skin is MUCH better today Just thought I'd share that. Food can sometimes be used topically in addition to the internal benefits--and it works! Peace, --Jen
