Guest guest
I can understand totally the reactions against allopathic medicine and psychiatry, certainly accurate medical diagnosis is something else. Whilst I am not endorsing any kind of spiritual beliefs, I am, and certain of my friends, are sceptical about the scientific materialism which decrees that anything cannot be understood by them must be abnormal or doesn't exist. Schizophrenia is one such illness. Perhaps there are genuine paranoia and delusions, I just don't understand why when some people (and children) sees things other people see necessarily mean that they are fantasising or ill. I had Reiki a few weeks ago and there was a spiritual healer also in the class. She reported seeing a black bird in the corner of the room watching our proceedings which nobody else did. There was a brief discussion between the Reiki Master and this individual as to whether it was related to magic (if that bird was a raven) or truly an entity from another dimension. Nobody voiced doubt that she had paranoid delusion or is a schrizophrenic and that was truly interesting how everybody learning this alternative therapy seems to have accepted there is such a thing as psychism (or whatever it is called). No, I don't have such an issue whatever even though I do have a strong sixth sense and have strong clairsentience. I know this subject may be entirely 'no, no' for this list. In that case I apologise for raising this question. But if discussion is permissible, I would be most interested to hear suggestions as to how herbal (and other alternative health) practitioners may set about 'treating' people who suffers from such 'afflictions' who may or may not act out socially acceptable behaviour as a result. Very many thanks. Cal
Guest guest
IMHO, I think this kind of discussion COULD possibly be relevant? Doc and others condemn psychiatry as the worst of allopathic medicines, and they seek natural alternatives. I personally would like to know what people who have been " diagnosed " with a mental " disease " are really experiencing, and I think some ppl are onto something when they suggest possibilities. Perhaps it's a bit off topic, but it may have a (albeit limited) place here. I'm not trying to start any conflict or anything, that's just my 2 cents as one who is interested in alternatives (or shall we call it reality) to conventional western mainstream " facts " . Granted, just as long as it doesn't get onto too much of a tangent. Guest guest
yes.. if there are herbs that help build cells and help one to think clearer.. i'm told even sage is a help there as is gingko biloba, so perhaps there are other herbs that can help to get the electrons etc in better position to straighten a mental problem. there are all kinds of herbs for relaxation, mood changing.. why not for what is being called Schizophrenia?? someone must know. it's out there somewhere...??? - ErinJC23 In a message dated 12/2/2003 5:50:35 PM Pacific Standard Time, supervixen08 writes: IMHO, I think this kind of discussion COULD possibly be relevant? It is talking about a real condition people experience, and one that destroys lives. It's very hard to find natural medicine or suggestions on this condition because people on list don't tlak about it. It's hard to know where to go for help and where to find the right informationErin.
