Guest guest
Mary, Eating habits.. properly slightly better then your average American diet, which means not good at all. I've almost completely cut out the most obvious.. like soda and candy, vending machine junk food. As an example, this is what I've had so far today. Breakfast: small amount of hash brown, 1 egg scrambled and white gravy on it all with grape juice to drink Lunch: Beef burgundy (beef in a wine sauce over noodles) and a roll. water to drink I'm tring to eat more salads, like a couple a week, because I'm really bad about vegetables. Fruits are normally in the banana, grape, apple, pineapple category. I eat cheese and drink milk and sometimes have yogurt (that's about it for dairy) but it's maybe a serving or two a day. Exercise: I work a desk job so I'm sedentary almost all day. I get a lot of stair climbing it at home (three level town house apartment) and the last few weeks have been hanging drywall and painting walls at our new house. But exercise is kinda an accidental thing for me. I get it while doing something else I actually like. I do do some yoga because I enjoy that, but it from tapes at home. Once I get moved I'll be joining my mother in a weekly class. I'm just under 5'7 " and 145 lbs.. so slightly overwieght but not too bad. When I was in the best shape of my life I was at 130 (that's when I was in tourny competitions for karate so it was pretty much all muscle). Hope that kinda gives you a general overview. I'm willing to make changes, but I have to phase them in slowly. If I try to do too much at once I get frustrated and quit. I am looking at getting back into karate after our move (since we'll be back by my old dojo). Guest guest
Jaime.....First thing I think you should do is contact Doc and request a free tape. Or you can post your mailing address and I can put one in the mail to you. After listening to it you can have a phone consultation with Doc. You need to be taking the Total Nutrition , first off. Increase the " live " foods in your diet - more fruits and vegetables ( always organic ) This is a start. There is alot you can do to change things around. You MUST exercise as well.....Mary O - " wyverndance " <wyverndance <herbal remedies > Tuesday, December 02, 2003 10:57 AM [herbal remedies] Re: autoimmune thyroid disease > Mary, > > Eating habits.. properly slightly better then your average American > diet, which means not good at all. Guest guest
Hi Jaime, I tend to agree with Mary O. You need to look at your whole body, lifestyle, diet, exercise, etc. You could get a running start on this by doing the 3 day juice cleanse and using organic apple juice. This will dump alot of stagnant lymph from your immune system and allow you to eliminate it. Eventually, however, you will need to change your diet and everything else. You will also need to do an extended cleanse like the Total Body cleanse in the files. Your thyroid is part of your immune system. This is where our lymphocytes come from. You have a congested thyroid from the sounds of it and you need to clean the mucus out of your lymph system badly. Otherwise the medicos will put you on garbage like synthroid. Or worse, they will remove your thyroid.
