Guest guest
Hi The nerve sedative that is in the files is great and you can make it up as a tincture for you father. This would be my first choice. A lot of herbs can not be taken if your father is on heart medication or other prescribed medications so you must be very careful. {I'm finding that the Valerian root is a wonderful tension and stress reduction herb. However you will want to investigate the herb and its contraindications for your father. I have read that large doses or extended use can cause symptoms of poisoning so I only plan to use it for another week at most. Doc or Don might know a wise way to use this herb for stress reduction. Jasmine is a nice calmative and can be taken as a cup of tea daily...however the scent has been known to arouse sexual interest in some individuals.} I gave one of my friends, who doesn't like to take pills or herbal mixtures, a gift certificate for a massage. You may also consider offering your father foot rubs yourself with almond oil or natural lotions that you can make. You can also sew a small rectangular pillow out of soft cloth and fill it with light seeds and just a drop of a calming essential oil so that he can lay the pillow on his eyes to rest them when he is lying down. You can fill a balloon with wet sand (about two handfuls) and tie a knot and he will have an item to squeeze in his hand to help when he feels stressed. Your company on a nice walk after dinner a few times a week would also be healthy for him, and a very nice gift. I'm sure others here will also be able to offer you nice gift suggestions that your father may like. Dolly herbal remedies , .
