Hi all .....Wanted to be sure you got this recipe. I am around to help anyone who may need it.

Mary Ostrowski

Almond Milk

1/4 cup almonds 2tsp. raw honey ( optional )

1 cup purified/ distilled water 1/4 tsp vanilla ( optional )

Soak almonds in distilled/purified water overnight . Pour the almonds and the water they were soaked in into a blender and add raw honey and vanilla if you wish. Mixture will foam so if you are tripling the recipe , leave 2 inches of space at the top so that liquid does not overflow . Turn blender on and blend for 2 minutes.

If the texture of the bits of nuts bothers you , strain over a bowl.

RE: [herbal remedies] Dairy Allergy

I thought that someone had mentioned there was a recipe in the files

to make sprouted almond milk, but I couldn't find it on a brief search.

Maybe someone has it handy? That might be another alternative to try...

[rowherb] Monday, December 01, 2003 1:56 AMherbal remedies Subject: [herbal remedies] Dairy AllergyHi Dolly,I heard that rice milk is very sweet so that is why Ikeep away from it and as for rice cheese...I don'tthink that I have ever seen here in Australia. I knowthere is also milk made out of oats as well, but Ihave found some recipes that by making my own milkssuch as soy, nut or coconut maybe just as good or evenbetter. I am more concerned with baking as I like tomake things and I have already sorted the margarineside out as we have dairy free margarine here so Ihave found that to be OK.Wendy(Australia) Hi Wendy,I am one of those lucky folk who are allergic to soyproducts as well. I found that, when I have a taste for milk orcheese, rice milk and rice cheese satisfy the hunger and leave mefree of mucus. Dollyhttp://personals..au - PersonalsNew people, new possibilities.
