Bridgette...You can do the cleanse. You should talk to the Doc when he returns. Get a free copy of his tape first and then have a consultation with him. Also look at the Nerve Regeneration Formula in the files.....Mary Ostrowski

[herbal remedies] CNS questions

Yestersday I had an appointment with a pain specialist and he simply declared (after an hour of questionning and exam) that their was nothing else he could do for me except giving me morphine based meds. He took the time to really explain to me that my Central Nervous System was burned and that there was little to no hope of getting better or living a normal life.

Recently I've started to take Hops at night and White Willow during the day. C and E in the morning. Scullcap, Lemon Balm and Camomille as a afternoon tea and during the evening. Cutting down on sugar and tea with cafeine in it.

Still need to detox but afraid that being diabetic it would be dangerous for me to do a full cleanse. So I thought to give my body the time to adjust itself between the changes.

My question is, is there other herbs that are good for our CNS and that we can grow ourself? Have plenty of time but no money at all.;-)

Hi Brigitte,

Start with the 3 day juice cleansing. Then work your way up to a total body cleansing.

Hi Brigitte,

I'm sure Don has some advice, but I had to chime in with my opinion

as well (you know me ;)

Before I did the body cleanse, I didn't eat any raw veggies, except

the occasional salad, and rarely at any raw fruits. Strawberries in

season, once in a while. I have to say, though, that doing the body

clease REALLY changed my opinion on that! First of all, going organic

with the food makes all the difference in the world. Things taste

good! I was also forced by the nature of the cleanse to find a

variety of things that I liked, and now I want to continue eating

them!

Get through this juice fast and consider doing the body cleanse. It

will make a WORLD of difference!!

Much love,

Kelli

Hi Brigitte,

This sounds like an excellent starting place for you. Instead of doing two days of fasting a week do the 3 day juice cleanse once a month. Gradually work your way up to doing it for a week at a time. Start going as close to raw as you can. Eventually you will find that raw veggies actually taste good. Cooked food is dead food. Not only that it is quite toxic to your body. You want to get well you need to do what is necessary. There are no short cuts nor any magic bullets that will do it for you.

You should cut out all red meat, sweets especially (your french liver will love you for this one), and cut out dairy. If you are diabetic you will be much better off leaving out all foods that create mucus in your system. This is everything except fresh fruits and green leafy veggies. Drink all the herb teas you want but no coffee, milk or dead store bought juices (unless that is all you have access to).

If you so choose to heal yourself and are ready to do the work and put in the time necessary to do this, you can do it. But only if you choose. This is the crux of the whole shebang, your choice.

To your french liver and health,

Don Quai

RE: [herbal remedies] Re: CNS questions

Seriously Don,

Do you think that two days of fast a week would be enough to repair the damage done? I can't go raw for a good reason, I don't like uncooked veggies and don't eat that many fruits either. But I was thinking that by cutting down on red meats, sweets and dairy products and a cleanse once a week for a day or two could help my system work better. That and the help of herbal teas (homegrown).

what do you think?

Avec Amour,

Brigitte
