Well my name is not Don or Suzy..;-) but I can tell you that I got rid of a yeast infection by using Yogurt and acidophilus like suppositories. It worked and didn't have any problems since then. (Three months) I had tried Tea Tree Oil in a cream for external symptoms and it was helping but only temporarely.

Suzie or Don

I have a question for either on of you. I have a yeast infection and would like not to have to go to the doctor for a treatment if I can help it. I was thinking of making an infusion of fresh garlic and adding a few drops of tee tree oil and using that for a douche. Would this be a good idea? I looked in the archives and couldn't find anything on this subject, yet I'm pretty sure I remember it being discussed. If there's anything else I can do please let me know. The less I have to go to the doctor, the better. Thanks very much in advance.

Search candida..in the message archives.

I would suggest intestinal cleanse #1, along with acidophilus. Also cut out any sugar or dairy if you are using any. Total Tonic and echinacea, as you need to boost your immune system.

Another idea is tea made with Plantain, Pau d'Arco, Marshmallow root, Blue Cohosh root, Uva Ursi, Juniper berries . Brew and drink 2 to 4 cups of tea daily. For chronic conditions, use 4 cups daily for 6 weeks or until symptoms are gone. Do not use for more than 3 months without a 3 week break.

Yes, live, cultured unflavored yogurt is also very good and you can take it orally too.

here is some more on the problem from a lady in UK:

Look at your diet and take the sugars out, also white bread and refined foods. This goes for wherever the infection is. I treated thrush with (from top to bottom) gentian violet- bicarbonate of soda washes+gentian violet -and yoghurt. Results in 5 days, all gone by 11.--Helen
