I can only suggest to do a search for one... I don't have one... but I doubt if a press will filter out the powder....when I strain tinctures made with powders much comes thru but some doesn't... I figure it's a better tinc with the powder in it... I just shake and take...

Where can I get a press for making tinctures? Also if I have a powdered form of an herb can I make a tincture out of it? Will the press filter the powder out?

Forgot to mention that I use a blender to mix all my herbs together first.. then let them "ferment" and then strain, etc..

So you are saying that you make your tinctures without a press? You just strain them? This is interesting..... Start pumping your garlic cloves down!

We (Travis and I) have fevers of over 100, loss of appatite, and diarrhea. Been going on since Saturday. No swollen glands. Which makes me wonder if it is bacterial rather than viral. That and the fact that Marilyn hasn't come up with the same symptoms. Wonder if it was something Travis and I ate Saturday.

Marilyn is picking up some echinacea today. We ran out yesterday. I was thinking of some lemon balm, maybe some yarrow.

For the diarrhea, we are just taking a strong infusion of my special "tummy tea", with a little stevia for Travis. MAN that stuff is sweet!!! Just a little pinch will do ya!.

Anyway, I agree about the TT and cayanne!! And the salsa, of course (which I am laying off of till this is over). Maybe that is why Marilyn isn't catching it. She has doubled up since T and I got sick.

What the heck is wrong with you... you take all that cayenne and total tonic... it ought to be burning out any bug in ya!...

Have you tried any other tinctures in the sock/pocket?? Just wondering how well the herbs come out...

Hope you're feeling better....taking your echinacea?John Ybarra <deuteronomy2929 wrote:

I'll have my wife check the prices today. She is going to the herbalist instead of me, as Travis and I have been down sick for three days (pity me, pity me!!), and they are washable.
