Guest guest
i have a file, actually 3, that i coppied from the net, of subs but i do't like the sub for butter which is Butter 1 cup *7/8-1 cup hydrogenated fat and 1/2 tsp salt, *7/8 cup lard plus 1/2 tsp salt, *1 cup margarine i wonder if applesauce or baby food prunes with a bit of salt would work. i use them to sub for oils or veg shortening in baking recipes. i haven't used butter in years, and seldom even use margerine. had to discard the last margerine as it became rancid it had gotten so old. if you or any one else would like a copy of the subs i have let me know. i got them from http://elroy.nmsu.edu/cahe/redtops/_e/e-131.html a long time ago. don't know if address still valid. love.. granny lee - Suzanne herbal remedies Friday, November 07, 2003 7:21 AM Re: [herbal remedies] Sprouted Pasta witha pasta machine Lee, Some of these I'm in the process of looking for substitutes... like butter... some are easy to substitute..... but these I have collected...some used some not yet...
