Guest guest
Hi there and welcome! I'm relatively new myself, and since I never properly introduced myself to the list, maybe I can do that now and share the story about how I came to be here since it seems so similar to where you and your fiancee are now. My husband and I have both done the total body cleanse (in the files under Doc Ian Shillington) and I cannot rave about it enough! We had been looking to improve our lifestyles and diets and had made a few small changes, but nothing really put us on the right track like the body cleanse. I considered myself fairly healthy - never got sick, high energy, etc - but had been recently diagnosed with a slight thyroid problem and some hormone imbalance (symptoms were PMS things). My husband, however, was fighting periodic ill-health that would have him out for the count every couple of weeks. In between those times, he was strong as a horse (he's a contractor). Anyway, he started the cleanse. Seemed a bit drastic to me, but I realized that it was a serious lifestyle/diet change and that if he was going to do it we had to do it together. I also didn't want to be taking "medicine" for my thyroid and hormones, and .... I turned 40 last year. Had to do something! I did it. It wasn't easy. But, I can honestly say that it has turned back the clock at least 15 years for me! And for an investment of only 4 weeks of my life, it was COMPLETELY WORTH IT. The body cleanse is a specifically laid out plan and I believe that everything in your posting can be fully addressed by doing it. So.. there ya go! My story, my opinion... and whatever you choose, I'm very interested in how things go for you guys. By the way, my husband and I just married this past Feb. Have you set a date? Background: my fiancee and I are VERY naturally oriented, to the point where we do not take aspirin for our pain, nor do we go to regular grocery stores anymore. We refuse to have any vaccinations, injections, flu shots, or anything else. I'm about to be a massage therapist (I start school in January). From there my fiancee and I will also become chiropractors and licenced acupuncturists. He will go on to become a naturopathic doctor and I will also learn about herbal and nutritional healing. I have a problem. I've only been living life more naturally for the past year; my fiancee, slightly less. I'm 26 and he's 33. I have improved my health tremendously--but I do have a long way to go. Though we eat close to the same foods, my fiancee has not gotten very well. Before he met me he was on the typical American lifestyle of OTC "remedies" and processed, fake food. Though that ceased gradually a year ago, he still weighs about 240 (he's 5'11"). His gut is large, he has a LOT of fatty mass in his abdomen. Without being able to explain in much detail, he says, especially lately, that he feels "acidic" or "toxic" and his instincts are telling him he needs a cleanse. He watched me drink medicinal herbal teas and take herbal capsules for different things. He watched me drop from 155 lbs to 128. Up until now, he hasn't been ready to do those things, as he is pickier about his diet and less willing to try new things than I am. But the last straw came the other day when he woke up in the middle of the night with very uncomfortable digestive problems which ultimately resulted in his expulsion of the culprit. He is utterly sick of feeling "icky" and now puts his trust in me to help him. Upon searching the internet, it's very hard to come up with a decent cleanse that is safe, easy enough for him to follow, that has basic herbal or nutritional ingredients (i.e. NO proprietary wonder-products). He needs a specific, explicitly-laid-out plan that contains basic herbs and foods. He needs to be told specifically what to take when, what he can take with what and what to avoid when, etc etc. If anyone has any information or can help in anyway, I'd be forever grateful. It's fine with me if you post to the board, and it's even better to email me at supervixen08 because I check that every single day. Thank you ever so much in advance. I look forward to being able to help the man I will soon marry. Thank you and God Bless!Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2.
