Guest guest
Well Brigitte, Whilst you are commiserating with your French liver. LOL The Milk Thistle is very good. Have you also considered adding in Golden seal or Oregon Grape? These both are very good for the liver as well. Sounds like you got ahold of some really nasty medication. As for the fat in the liver, well most people have fat in their liver. This is because your liver is a virtual storehouse for sugars. The liver will convert glucose to glycogen and back. When your body needs glucose the liver breaks the glycogen back out of storage and converts it back into sugar. A lot of this gets stored in the fat of the liver and hepatic cells. The fat in and around the liver provides an immediate source of lipids for the process of converting the glucose precursor from amino acids, which are derived from muscle protein. Why worry about the alcohol content of your yarrow tincture? It will either be weak or strong. Best to use minimum 100 proof vodka or stronger. Although, with liver problems you might wish to consider adding your tincture to the same amount of distilled water and slowly heating it to drive off the alcohol. This will leave you with a pretty potent extract. Then you can add either glycerin or ACV for preservation purposes. ACV being better. Okay so what was this medication and what were you taking it for? Your diabetes a result of this as well? Nothing is hopeless. There is always hope. Okay, enough for now I guess. I can't help much on the French aspect or English community aspect. But we can help you with your French liver living in an English community aspect.
