Guest guest
No and you won't see ephedra either. Nor comfrey. You won't see any of those cause the herbs themselves do not cause any problems. The problems are caused by "standardizing a particular constituent of the herb" thereby intensifying it beyond what it origianlly was. Or, removing and concentrating it. Don Quai - Bridge herbal remedies Wednesday, November 05, 2003 2:33 PM RE: [herbal remedies] statistics Sorry but I seem to have lost a part of this conversation and don't understand what could be wrong with borage? Tnx for your patience. Brigitte ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Well I don't really know that you need to quit. Most everyone on the face of this planet has some liver deterioration and/or problems. I don't know that the borage flower even has these alkaloids in it. I do know that the rest of the plant does. Most of the time flowers will not contain the same constituent chemicals that the rest of the plant contains. Before you go doing an about face do a little research on your own. I think you will find that borage has much less of these alkaloids than does comfrey. How extensive is your liver damage? What caused it? what are you doing to repair it? Before you go doing an about face do a little research on your own[bridge] That is what I did before posting this. Didn't find anything specifically about the flowers but what I've found was enough to put a warning sign in my mind . I think you will find that borage has much less of these alkaloids than does comfrey. How extensive is your liver damage?[bridge] Liver enzymes are way too high and from a CT scan it if also full of fat. What caused it? [bridge] Some medication that I took 4 years ago and still suffering extensively from adverse reations what are you doing to repair it?[bridge] planted some Milk Thistle, collected the seeds (that was interresting all by itself..LOL) and found that they work a lot better by eating them directly than by making a tea. I just take one or two at a time and this is good for two days. Very careful about fat in the diet but still not enough I know. I forgot to mention that I also made some Yarrow tincture that I am not taking often enough since I am a little confused about the alcool content... maybe I should make the next batch with ACV and add it to the TT. Also have short-term memory problems and I am forgetting about taking my supplement and medication most of the time. Even those for my diabetes. I am in a very bad shape and still seeing neurologists for some seizures-like symptoms that started at the time I took the medication that started all my problems. And since I am making a partial list of all my problems I might as well add that on top of that I am French in an English community... poor poor me. Tnx for your help, Brigitte Don Quai
