Guest guest
The stye disappeared for the most part over night after about two days. This was the worst one I have ever had. I did do the warm compresses, but I doubt often " enough " as it was a very busy week and I never seemed to find time to lie down and just put the warm cloth there. I continued my regular dose of eyebright and marigold that is in my daily Vision Capsule. Only thing I did with consistency was apply Rescue Remedy Cream directly to the stye -- I am certain this accounts for the fairly quick healing as compared to other styes I have had. I am such a believer in the Bach remedies. Jennifer Ps: Pretty sure tha the stye was brought on by my rubbing my eyes during a bad bout of hay fever last week. I've started oregano oil for allergy/sinus problems but am having a hard time tolerating the burning and some degree of indigestion that results. louherbs [louherbs] Thu 10/16/2003 6:04 PM herbal remedies Cc: Re: [herbal remedies] Stye Jennifer, I realize this sounds folkloric and silly, but I've seen it work. With your finger, rub on the side of your nose or behind your ear, and touch that finger to the sty. Dr. Shealy recommends a bread poultice, albeit a simpler one than I've seen suggested before. He says just apply a warm slice of bread. How long??
