i tend to think that anytime ones digestive tract is in trouble it's

because the wrong fuel was poured into it. i know that is what has

happened to me. since people are not all carbon copies of their

contemporaries, there are some fuels that cause problems with some

people and yet other people seem to have no trouble with the same

fuel. probably until you can get information from Doc or

aaknowledgeable moderater, you might try some acidophilus and

enzymes to help digest what ever it is that you are eating, and do a

good cleaning out. you might try going light on the heavy meats and

pastas, and heavy on the raw or partially cooked veggies and fresh

fruit and lots of veggie and fruit juices.

" Foods that tend to cause symptoms include milk products, chocolate,

alcohol, caffeine, carbonated drinks, and fatty foods. In some

cases, simply eating a large meal will trigger symptoms. "

i didn't/don't have IBS, just acid reflux, but probably caused by

about the same things.

i stopped eating red meats, milk, fats and sugar and am a lot

better. do lots of juicing etc., take enzymes, DGL and acidophilus

and much improved.

get Doc's tape, too it will help you understand some of the

reasoning behind the veg/fruit etc idea.

I too have suffered from IBS. The constipating (sp) kind, that is,

the pain, bloating and the have to go RIGHT NOW, has been my

constant friend for as long as I can remember. If I had a bowel

movement once a week I thought this was normal.

You know what helped me, can't speak for other people, is an

intestinal cleanse. (It is in the files.) Juicing--wonderful stuff,

and eat as much organic as you can. I eat anything I want--peppers,

milk, eggs, corn---doesn't matter, AS LONG AS IT IS ORGANIC.

But I have to say that the cleanse did the most for me.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Helen in TN.

I would first ask the usual questions. What is your diet like? Your excercise level? Stress? Do you smoke/drink/take drugs?

I have a disease called Celiac's Disease, that gives me many of the symptoms you are probably experiencing, and have had great success with not only herbal treatments, but lifestyle modifications as well. A very strict diet, with absolutely no unsprouted grain products. Canned foods are notorious for sneaking grain products in, even in soups. No milk or milk products whatsoever. No red meat. Mostly fresh organic fruits and veggies.

There are various cleanses that might help, but I'll let those more learned than I recommend which ones, if any. And if you like, I'll post the recipe for my special tea blend that helps immensely with the diarreah.

I am sure through dialog, we will be better able to "pin it down" a little better.

Things that seemed to help me were Charcoal tablets, Slippery Elm, I had

capsules

but there is probably a better way to take it, and also I took CALCIUM. Yes I

know this

does not sound scientific and I cannot back up this but it definitely helped me

I am sure of it.

Also I gave up dairy completely as it was making me worse, then the next year I

gave up

all animal products. Since then over a few years I have gone mainly organic as

well

and don't have the problem now.
