Hummmm, I know yall are wondering what the world I'm up to now...

No..it's not the bum blow out now...lol.

Most of you know about Wayne's finger...he cut it off back in March or April...

Well, the surgeon didn't get all of the fingernail root. And, it keeps getting infected. It gets grease and junk up in there and pus comes out and it gets swollen and red and painful.

Well, I have been putting the Total Draw on it when ever this happens and it does the trick, but it obviously won't pull what's left of the fingernail root out, and the little pencil lead piece of finger nail that grows out of it is just enough to allow dirt and grease up in there and get infected.

Okay...I did the Total Draw last night and Wayne said there was lots of relief this morning, then..just now as I got off line to rest my bottom...he calls me from work.

Wayne don't ever call me from work...

He tells me that he hit his finger and that pus stuff shot out again and now it's throbbing and I better get on "my list" as he calls it and find out how to cut it out by tonight! Either that, or he wants me to make another appointment with the same surgeon that didn't get it all to start with...

I thought he lost his mind or was just kidding or something, but he said he really wants me to pose this question on the list because he would rather for me to do it than the doctor.

(I don't have that much confidence in myself, makes me proud, kinda sorta, I think.)

The only thing even close to ANYTHING like this that I've ever come is when ever I dig out an ingrown toe nail.

Help! Help!

Is this something I can do or should I make that appointment?

I don't have anything to deaden it with...

If Wayne could hold his breath long enough, I could do this, but...ain't that asking a little much even out of the dude that doesn't know what pain is?

This is what I've dreamed up so far...I would tie off the finger so it wouldn't bleed too death. Maybe that would even deaden it a little...

Then, I'd slice into the end of the place where the nail is coming out and (cut or pull?) the nail out.

Then, I'd wash it with TT and pack it full of cayenne tincture....and bandage it up.

Then, I'd probably have to hit him on the head with something heavy enough to knock him out when I got ready to take the turnqit off and the feeling and blood comes rushing back into that finger, right?

See, I can't think of what I could do to keep the pain from being too much even for Wayne to stand?!

Keep in mind that this is a man that pulls his own back teeth!

Any suggestions?

No....I really ain't crazy, but I think Wayne is...

Tell me something,

Angel, I think this is one of the rare cases where a surgeon would be your best bet. He can mechanically fix the problem (take the finger nail out). Then you can help with pain and infection afterwards. Once they get the root of the nail, there should be no more problems.

Angel,

Try taking a wet hot cloth and wrapping the finger after putting the poultice on , then put plastic over it to keep the heat in overnight. Check it in the am and see if the root has come up... this works for deep imbedded splinters... might be worth a try. Something to do with the moist hot heat...

That was my thoughts, Mr. Don. And, I'm not too sure he's gonna hold still for the first try, let alone a second 'stab' at it...lol.

He told me last night he'd wait until business slows down in the winter and then go to the doctor...and for now, we are using the pee honkey out of the Total Draw...
