Guest guest
warning! not for the faint of belly! pretty gross, detailed post, but worth it if it helps someone else. Morning folks! I got two touchy subjects to tell yall about. Allopathic vs. Natural Remedies and hemorrhoids. Around last Saturday I had a major blow out in the worst way... It wasn't so bad to start with, and they usually go away on their own, so I didn't bother to do anything about it... Well, come Monday morning, I was hurting so bad, I couldn't see straight. I mean...I was crawling on the floor because it hurt too much to stand up with cheeks rubbing...(ahem..) I couldn't sit even on my water bed and I couldn't even lay flat on my back...this is how bad it was.. I called the OB...I'm that desperate. I would have got on here and hollered for help, but...I couldn't get to the computer long enough to make a post. (Note to Ms. Suzi and Don: Lesson about learning on my own and not depending on this list for every detail well taken now!) The OB called me in something called proctofoam. It has cortisone and something else in it for numbing and swelling. It's what they give mommies that have ripped from here to there or been cut at birth...supposed to be some mighty powerful stuff. My honey went and picked it up and it has this little syringy thingy that you have to fill up and insert into the bum. Honey, so lovingly obliged as I was in pretty bad shape. This shit made them swell up even more and I could feel my heart beating back there... instead of just one side being blown out, now it looked like I had another set of vagina lips! And, my rectum was numb, I think....but, on the outside WHERE THE DANG PAIN WAS AT....was even worse than before I used it. Hummmp, this ain't gonna work... So....and yall can holler at me if ya want...but, I was delirious....my honey suggested using vicks vapor rub.... Oh, yes...I was so crazy, I'd have used anything. I braced myself for the burn and smeared some back there... ahhhhhhhhh! is all I got to say. It didn't set me on fire, in fact, it was really cooling. (Would someone be so kind as to give me a natural equivalent to vicks vapor rub?) This helped, but they were still all fired up...I mean, honey said his has never been that big before and he's had some monsters! Well, the cooling brought me back to reality some what enough to get me to thinking and I thought about hot/cold... So, I got into the tub with the water as hot as I could stand it and oh, let me tell you, I almost fell out with relief... So, I chickened out on the cold pack. But, the swelling never would go down AT ALL... So, yesterday I was so miserable from laying in the bed for two whole days...I decided to try the cold pack... I won't lie, it was uncomfortable at first...it didn't hurt as I thought it would though...so, I left it for a while...after about five minutes (seemed like forever to my bum) it got real easy...so I pushed the cold pack in a little closer to get all around the monsters, if you know what I mean...(AHEM) I think my eyeballs rolled from the relief once again... I kept it there for about 20 minutes and took it off for around 10...just long enough for the hurt to come back and put it back... I did this on and off all day. And, the swelling was finally going down...enough that when I got a BM...I thought I was home free...WRONG! Well, even with me humming instead of pushing...it knocked them back out again! I won't repeat the language I used, but just know I was so mad, I couldn't see straight. Anyhow, I got into the tub and did the cold pack some more. When honey got home he seen how pitiful I was and he's the one that reminded me... "Well, what about that pee stuff you was talking about a couple of weeks ago? Seems like now would be a perfect time to try it!" I think he might have been kidding, but a light went on for me! I had been taking meticulous care every time I even had to pee so not to get them any more raw than I could help... So, I stopped cleaning whenever I peed and just let it run back there.... Sounds nasty? Oh, that's what I thought. I just knew I'd get up this morning and be so raw I couldn't stand myself. I think I peed about four or five times last night...but, every time it didn't hit back there...you know... Well, instead....here I sit at the computer...It ain't all the way gone...but, the monsters are manageable now...AND THEY FINALLY STARTED ITCHING! ME SO HAPPY CAUSE THAT TO ME MEANS THEY ARE ON THE MEND! The hot/cold therapy and urine is what helped my bum blow out. THE ONLY THING THAT HELPED. The stuff the OB gave me was $71.00 friggin dollars! My urine and ice pack didn't cost a dime! Lesson well learned. Sorry I missed what looks like a thread right down my alley yesterday....but, I really was out of commission. Guest guest
Oh boy those are painful Angel. I remember my first one with Joey - thought I was gonna die. The doctor suggested I get some witch hazel and put it into the refrigerator. Cold witch hazel helps enormously with these. I would think cayenne would be excellent internally and externally. Guest guest
Hey Angel, Don't forget black tea. Several cups of hot black tea throughout the day for several days will tame those suckers right on down. You can also apply a (ahem) hot, wet one right on the 'roid. Works wonders and really quick. However, I do believe that you have stumbled onto something that seems to work quite well for you. Very well done. Guest guest
Angel, Black tea, drink a cup or two of black tea per day. It will literally shrink those babies right up. It is the tannins that do it. You can also use Oak bark. I know cause I use it when I have problems. It works. Don Quai - Anjeweleyes herbal remedies Thursday, October 16, 2003 3:06 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Allopathic vs. Natural...just this week experienced Thanks Mr. Don and everyone else that replied to my post on these 'monsters'. I was wondering though...yesterday I sat on an ice pack for nearly the whole day...could that damage anything somehow? I also have a pack thing that you can make hot or cold and I use it also...both give mighty good relief...but, the swelling and pain seems to prefer the cold... Wayne was joking (I hope) that I was going to freeze them to death and they'd fall off while I was walking across the floor! I also used some tea tree and jojoba yesterday and that gets as much, if not more, soothing as the vicks did! I'm telling yall, I've had vaginal births with all three kids, and I've never been this sore..ever! And, one more question... WILL THEY EVER GO BACK TO NORMAL?! The pain and major discomfort is leaving, but they seem to just stay right where they are...or, do you think they were just so mad it's gonna take a while? Guest guest
Angel, you might try lying down with pillows under your hips to elevate your monsters and take some of the pressure off of them, along with the herb of your choice may be helpful. if i remember right, sitting on them and further constricting the blood flow, may not be too good. good luck... love.. granny lee herbal remedies , " Anjeweleyes " <anjewelhaze@k...> wrote: > Thanks Mr. Guest guest
Don Do you have any info or lectures on the power of words? Kids & I have been studying this for a few months... I'm having a hard time getting the concept across to the twins. Any new info, possibly geared toward a younger audience, would be helpful. thanx buffy~ - Don Quai herbal remedies Thursday, October 16, 2003 1:18 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Allopathic vs. Natural...just this week experienced By the way Angel, You haven't by any chance been saying things like "Pain in the Ass" or "Pain in the butt" have you? No of course you haven't. But something to think about anyway. Guest guest
Hi Buffy, The only info I have is locked inside me skull. All this is from years of living and contemplating life. Yes, I have read many, many books about the power of words. Gosh, I couldn't even begin to name them. Your words create your reality. So it only makes sense to be very wise in your choice of words. Not an easy concept to master when you are my age though. LOL Wish I'd known this when I was two. I do wish you luck and hope that your twins will benefit in the long run from what they are learning today. We all limit ourselves by our own thoughts and words. Needless to say there are many words that I will not use but not so much because of the power of the word itself but because the sub-conscious mind does not differentiate meanings. It is very literal. Too literal. Anyway, I am sorry that I cannot be of more help to you. However, I am sure that if you seek long enough you will attain that which you seek.
