MLM's claim to have some proprietary formula that only they have or that only they can get, and the only way you can get this "magical", super duper formula is through their program. I've taken this challenge many times before, and have been able to either duplicate (make myself) or actually purchase the exact same formula. Every time I investigated one of these, not only was I able to either manufacture it or purchase it as-is, the actual formula or program was inferior to what I was already doing in the herbal field. The only exception to this "inferior product" point, was an MLM owned by Twin Labs which was selling a very superior, high quality CoQ10. However, by actual research I found the manufacturer of this CoQ10 (NOW Foods) and was able to purchase the identical product at about 1/5th the cost of the MLM product. This leads me to: #2. MLM products are very expensive as they need to pay these awesome downlines, and keep their money motivated distributors happy. So #1 is really only a sales pitch to justify #2. so that a few, very hard working distributors and of course "management" get to make a ton of money. And most times the products are actually inferior and sometimes just downright bad. The whole thrust is towards making money and is out exchange. How do I know about such things??? I was in on the ground floor when a big MLM was being set up, and when I discovered some criminal activity going on, I blew the whistle on it. I had even worked out the math to make it an honest program, but Management wasn't interested, preferring to push their Ponzi scheme. Believe me, I've done a very thorough investigation of MLM's and how they work including talking to MLM lawyers on the subject. #3. Almost invariably, MLM's will push the owner of that particular MLM as being the most altruistic holy man that ever graced the surface of the planet, and they place this self styled guru as sitting on the right hand side of God while distributing his supposedly "proprietary formula" in an apparent largess on the rest of mankind. As is usual, the bottom line for these dudes is the BUCK!!! And their largess is, as their proprietary formula, a complete sham - a total con!!! #4. Often times, the MLM owners or one or two of the major distributors will use a position in a religious group and their position in the MLM to push the "products" of the MLM using the dogma or rhetoric of the religion or ethnic group. And thusly, we get an INMT (International Metals and Trade), or an Herbal Life praying, errrrr preying upon the group's basic beliefs, and then further lining their own pockets while promising weatlh to one and all while opening the doors of heaven. Most of them then take these people for the ride of their life, delivering nothing!!! Oh, there may be a few exceptions, butttttttt none of them, and I repeat, none of them, make an herbal product as good as what you yourself can make. That brings us to the subject of herbs and where to get them and what to do with 'em. Herbs The best quality herbs that you can find are those you either grow or wildcraft yourself. You take all the quess work out of it this way. You know what you put into it. You are there when the herbs were picked in the middle of the forest. No one could convince you that they weren't the most potent herbs available. Too often a majority of Americans will just go to GNC or some other pharmaceutical infiltrated / owned company and think that because it is "main line" and / or "As seen on TV", that when they buy Echinacea Tincture that there is actually any in there. All herbs have their own signature. Cayenne is very hot. Licorice and stevia are very sweet. Echinacea will turn your mouth numb for 20 minutes to an half an hour, and will make you salivate a tremedous amount. If your herbal formula from one of these "healthfood" stores doesn't do this, I venture to say that there is so little herb in there that it won't do any good, or there isn't any in there at all. Either way, you've been had!!! On top of this, most of the main line herbal companies get their herbs from third world countries like India or Egypt, where insecticides like DDT are still legally used. Even the one's that are imported into the US and are supposedly "organic" are subject to fumigation and / or irradiation per the American agricultural laws. Why do these big companies use foreign labor and growers??? Because, the bottom line for all of these companies is the "buck", and they can pay farmers in these countries pennies a day to grow this crap. Did you know that one of the best new businesses to start up in this day and age, right here in the US is "Herb Farming"??? And this can be done without a lot of capital. For example: A wife could start one of these out of her house or even apartment (best is having a back yard), and with a little elbow grease, some raw materials for a small green house and a little cash saved from setting aside a little each week from hubby's pay check, the next thing you know, hubby will be working for the wife LOL. You think I'm kidding??? Entrepreneur Magazine did a complete write-up on Herb Farming and what a lucrative business it is.
