Dear Kathe,

The following is a formula that was discovered by my Grandfather (A Medical Doctor in Canada), in 1921. My father used it very successfully and so did I as I was growing up in northern Canada during the summer months in the middle of the muskeg, where the mosquitos are as big as B-17's, the Black Flies can drive a bull Moose totally insane and where the No-See-ums are so big you can actually "See-um" LOL.

Grandad's Natural Insect Repellant.

60% Organic Castor Oil

30% Organic Oil of Citronella

10% Organic Camphor Oil.

by volume.

Mix altogether and shake well, and there you go.

It's not the best thing to wear on a date, but it'll keep the bugs away. Garuuuuuunteed!!!! :o)

Love,

Doc

[herbal remedies] natural insect treatment

Thanks for the great link to natural insect repellant. This summer I used a natural formula my uncle gave me as an experiment to control mosquito's.1 plastic jugcut 2 in. by 2 in. hole 3/4 high on jug.In the jug add, 2 T. mollasses1 c. clear apple cidar1 T. ammoniaA little pickle juiceFill the jug 1/2 full of waterI have not been able to enjoy an evening out in the summer because I attract mosquito's! I was desperate to try anthing that would help. Now you would think that taking TT would help, it didn't deter them. I tried this formula, putting about 8 differnt jugs in mosquito prone areas, front and back yards. Now this did not deter 100% of the mosquitos, but I was able for the first time, sit out in the evenings. I think I had only 3 bites all summer.Kathe
