I plan to make one of the Menopause formula's in the files. My first

question is should I make a tincture with all the herbs in one

container or each herb tinctured by itself? or would it work better

brewed as a tea? And my last question, is their one recipe that

works better for hot flashes and sleep problems?

Easiest and cheapest to blend all in one tincture but I always end up tincturing herbs seperately. I mainly only take tinctures so I have at least 100 herbs tinctured, and several blends. That way if I need the herb again in another formula I take the rest of that tincture and blend it in, instead of having to wait for the steeping time each go around.

One suggestion for hot flashes -- take a tbsp of aloe juice a day (the non laxative kind) Supposed to really help.

Heather, if you're going to fine tune an herbal just for you, you could make 'em all separately, and mix 'em in various different ways and experiment around. This is how formulae get put together in the first place ;o)

To just get the job done, I'd just make 'em all together. It depends on whether or not you feel like being creative or not.

The formula as is, is very potent, and will most likely do what you want it to. The guess work has already been taken out of this formula, but it's up to you if you wish to play around with it. You certainly won't hurt yourself (or anyone else) by doing so.

I've found this to be very true myself. With the special blend of herbs I take for my condition. I will increase this, decrease that, add a little of the other. Little by little, I am getting to the balance that will work best for me. Takes time and patience, but is well worth it!!!
