This recipe is from a dear friend of mine, Ravenna. She has written 10 herbal books over the years (pen name is Nerys Purchon) and lives in Oz Australia.

'LONG-LIFE JUICE'

Contrary to what you may think, this juice is delicious. It will help to counteract excessive blood clotting, help control diabetes, lower cholesterol and blood pressure and keep flu' and cold bugs at bay. In addition, it can help to reduce inflammation. It can be used as a ubstitute in any of the complaints that recommend garlic oil capsules.Make a fresh 'batch' every 3-4 days. Don't refrigerate unless the weather is really warm.Take 2-3 teaspoons (10-15ml) 3 times daily. I enjoy eating the chopped mixture but if this doesn't appeal, just drink the juice.To make:1 very finely chopped onion4 very finely crushed garlic cloves1/4 - 1/2 finely chopped small red chilli2-3 teaspoons finely grated ginger1 teaspoon grated horseradishJuice of 1 lemonRunny honey to coverMethodPut the onion and garlic in a jar, pour the lemon juice over. Mix well. Pour honey into the jar until the contents are well covered, stir and put more honey if needed. Put a lid on the jar.
