Guest guest
Dear Pam, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but that happens with my schedule. I coulda sworn that recipe was in the files??? Hmmmmmmmmm, I'll just have to ensure it gets in there ) Anywho, to keep this real simple, here is the recipe. Go to your healthfood store and buy the following: 1 quart of raw organic milk 1 small jar / can of your favorite raw organic kefir. 1 small jar of acidophilus / bifidus with capsules. Pour all of the milk into a wide mouth bowel - put in a tablespoon or two of your kefir - open a capsule of the acidophilus and pour into the mixture and then stir the whole thing up. Cover with a clothe and let sit on your diningroom table at room temperature for 24 hours. The next day, your kefir is ready, and you can then refrigerate. Always save a little for your next batch. From this point on, all you need is the organic raw milk and you use a little of what you have left over as your starter. You can always add fresh organic raw fruit with a little organic raw honey to spice things up. Just throw into a blender and blend for a dozen seconds. You can even freeze this fruit / kefir concoction and then run it through a Champion Juicer to make your own kefir / smoothie / icecream with a little Vanilla thrown in. The possibilities are endless and this is almost impossible to screw up. It ain't rocket science so don't get to significant about your quantities or what temperature your room temperature is at. This will work and taste great.
