Guest guest
You could try making an infusion of 1 teaspoon Wormwood herb, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne in 1 pint of hot water. Then take 2 oz. as needed. Don Quai - Nicole herbal remedies Monday, September 22, 2003 4:59 AM [herbal remedies] alternative to mersyndol Hi there, can anyone tell me what would be an alternative to mersyndol. I take this for migraines which luckily are few and far between, I take the night strength which knocks me out for a few hours but at least takes the migraine away. What I am really wanting is an alternative to the side effect it has on me!Once taking it I am so much calmer and the things that I normally get really upset and angry about don't bother me, I can calmly and rationally look at things...I take it this is the codeine working (not sure).I don't have a stressful lifestyle as such, I talk myself into being stressed in how I react to circumstances. Yes I do mediatate sometimes and I have animals around me, when I'm with them I don't have the stress but as soon as I'm away from them it all comes back (yes I know you're all not councellors LOL :-) )Just thought the above would help in finding an alternative. I can't take St.Johns Wort.Does anyone know of an alternative that I can use to the same effect?ThanksNicole Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Guest guest
Hi Nicole, Migraines can be really nasty. As with most things it is important to: A. Get at the SOURCE- both physically and emotionally CLEANSE and CLEAR all that is toxic. First empty the cup before you try to pour more in ;-) B. Distinguish the " triggers " and eliminate them or clear them up. Could be foods, fungus, substances, environment, allergies, a number of things...also situations, people, behaviors, etc. C. Create balance through cleansing, diet, exercise, also personal/spiritual wellbeing Clear some space for your self before you can rebuild and restore your NATURAL state of well being and balance. D. use natural methods that do no harm to alleviate symptoms and restore balance. Balance and health is your NATURAL state! Herbs, essential oils, flower essences, massage, yoga, meditiation, exercise, play, etc. I'd be happy to help you with an aromatherapy remedies for stress and pain if you like. Essential oils are very helpful for relieving headaches. I would need to know much more specifically. For some migraines are related to hormones and for some simply triggered by emotions/stress, some allergic responses, or an over taxed liver, and especially foods and fungus. Some manifest in the sinuses too and oils that support respiration make a difference too. I'd be happy to help more specifically if I can. Oh yeah, I am a certified life coach and aromatherapist.....and on a personal note used to have migraines...VERY bad ones...but none in 18 years. Oh yes, are you exercising regularly? Just adding that one thing- a 30-40 min walk each day...will make a profound difference in your physical and emotional health...especially now as we are losing light and the weather is getting colder.
