Guest guest
I have an anxiety disorder, and have found that cognitive behavioral therapy has really helped me with panic attacks. they will likely go over breathing exercises, relaxation exercises and meditation/visualization with you. also, there are a number of dietary things you can do. I have a book that I have found to be very helpful- Natural Relief for Anxiety by Edmund J. Bourne, Arlen Brownstein and Lorna Garano. Hope it helps! --- hawk4796 <groundhawk2 wrote: > Can someone help me with this problem I'm having I > drive for a living > and was very good at it but lately I found that I > can't drive on the > freeway anymore I get really nervous and have panic > attacks going over > bridges is tough also can anyone help I'm a 55 year > old male. Guest guest
I also have an anxiety disorder, with panic attacks and all of the suggestions from Kerri are worthwhile. My first panic attack was while driving (25 years ago) and driving became very difficult, if not impossible, for awhile until I got help. Cognitive behavioral therapy is the best for managing panic/anxiety, as well as learning to get control of your breathing, esp. if you hyperventilate during attacks. I just wanted to add that you will need to give yourself time to learn how to manage the anxiety. The important thing is to not avoid activities because of the anxiety, but to " feel the fear and do it anyway. " Although the physical response involved with panic attacks feels life threatening, it is not. It is just how your body feels when it's flooded with adrenaline. If you can think calming, rational thoughts, be mindful of your breathing and be patient with yourself, you will begin to keep the anxiety at a manageable level. Please know that you are not alone and that many, many people share your experience. Do not be afraid of getting the help you need. Guest guest
Hi there......you aren't losing your mind. These are classic symptoms pointing to your constitutional homeopathic remedy. They're right out of the book! My recommendation is to find a reputable homeopath in your area. Once you receive the proper remedy, these symptoms will dissolve.
