Guest guest
I am really sorry if I offended people by the word rip off When I use the word " rip " off- I am talking about people being sick, people needing help and they run from the drug company to the herb companies-and in the end, when the supplement/gadget addiction ends- end the person is still sick- we are all responsible...at least a little. Of course, everyone needs to be personally responsible for their health-but it is really not fair considering we are raised in a country (for those of us in the States) where we drink sedating fluoride in our water, watch sedating TV filled with hypnotic info- mercials, and raised in a medical system that by passes rational thinking. Some of the people I see in my office spend 300-500 a month on herbs and " gadgets " I personally believe that health does not need to cost a lot of money-and so I strive to give people a break as much as I can-so they know I am not trying to entice them with a hypnotic health ploy- which is common at chiropractic offices and such. This is exactly where Naturopaths lose credit-either by trying to compete with the medical realm with expensive gadgets, or by getting people hooked on supplements instead of healing. I am sorry if I seem crass- but people are dying out there and the system needs to change. I used to work in an oncology office and a pediatric office- I have seen the good and bad in naturopathy and allopathy. If you are selling something-and are confident about your means-than good for you, but I have seen pyramid schemes and fear based literature that gets people paranoid and psychotic instead of healthy. Now, if you are a retailer and not a Naturopath, I understand- but far too many people- like at health food stores and such- act like ND's when in fact they are herbaceutical " drug " reps. All I am saying it can be deceptive and unhealing...... In regards to the foot baths-the placebo effect is very strong in whatever you use and is a proven fact- and I know that there are different chemical reactions with each person. I think if I spent $500 on a health gadget or more- I would really want to believe it did something that it claimed- Not, to insult Michelle-who has obviously had success with it and renewed health..but we musn't forget the story of the Emperors New Clothes-and I have seen people rave about things-like an urban legend... The only one I found that appeared to have some benefit was the Q2 and that also let out the least amount of harmful electromagnetic fields. However, I have not used it and I am only speaking on research I have done....like I said, I tried hard to get into it, I was going to put one in my office, as is the common practice now-but I couldn't see the benefits outweighing the risks. I have seen people get really sick from gadgets- like a few years ago when many people were buying those ozone air purifiers-thinking they would purify the air-and spending so much money on them...now we know they are dangerous and ineffective-so all I am saying is BE CAREFUL- You can heal your body in much cheaper and much more cost effective ways....if you want to... I am trying to come from the middle ground here-and help everyone keep a cool head-Do not think that I am cynical but rather thoughtfully critical...
