Guest guest
My little dog Baby (rescued from a terrible place where her life consisted of being beaten and kept in a cage:(!!) - began having diarrhea (uncontrollable i.e. all over the house, bed, blankets, rugs, floors and after 3 days I noticed what I thought was a skinny elastic band in her liquidy feces.......and then I saw it move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YIKES! YUCKK! I nearly fainted....anyways, had it analysed at the Vet and results were ROUNDWORM !! I am so upset as although I keep her clean, being a dog, whenever I walk her, she just wants to constantly smell other dog's feces and urine........It is the first time she ever had worms (although perhaps they were living inside her for awhile), and I am so distressed. I am having to treat her with chemicals and it is difficult for me as I cannot pill her and so, have had to use a liquid med in a syringe and squirt it in her mouth (she freaks out and it is difficult for me, because she has been abused, and from doing this to her, she loses her trust in me... Anyways........any advice, suggestions, experiences would be appreciated. Can the cats get roundworm? If they share her drinking water (I have 3 bowls around the house0 Can I get it if she sleeps in my bed........eggs falling around? Boo Hoo Hoo!! I am overwhelmed by all the detailed information on the internet and get nauseaous from reading it, and was wondering if their are any alternative people with pets, who can share their views on ROUNDWORMS: ( Thanks! Guest guest
You can also give them Paraway Plus from Unicity. It's safe enough for pets and very effective for most parasites including the one described. 1 capsule a day for 30 days. This will kill not only the adults, but the young parasites and eggs too which take about 30 days to complete their cycle.Hulda Clarks zapper will also work. Also now that you have been exposed to them you will also way to do a parasite cleanse on the whole family. FYI: as Hulda Clark puts it Pets are our best source for getting parasites. Quantum Biofeedback on your pet. I work with pets also. Releasing the trauma your pet experienced will be of great help. Guest guest
Firstly your dog's body is naturally repelling the worms from her system and this is good! Now, how to get rid of them! To lay the groundwork to ensure she never has this problem again you must first change her diet to a species appropriate one of RAW meat and bones. Crap-in-a-bag kibble is the major cause of intestinal worms in pets and is also the number one cause of many major problems such as allergies, skin problems, teeth and gum disease, etc. A dog does not need a balanced diet, it's whole digestive system is designed for RAW meat and bones, NOT vegetables and other dead cooked foods that it cannot digest. The " spin " put out by pet food manufacturers is designed purely for what appeals to YOU, not what is good for the dog. Now the next most basic need is to ensure that your pets do not carry parasites such as fleas as these are the number 1 cause of worms. You do not need to use any toxic chemicals to rid your pets of internal/external parasites. Diatomeaous (sp?) Earth - food grade can be used everywhere, inside and outside your home (sprinkle/dust it over your lawn, carpets, pets bedding etc) as well as given internally on their food ( a teaspoonful should be sufficient) and you will never have another problem. Follow these suggestions and you'll never have to worry about parasites again! huggs Lyndall 30+ years of owning/breeding/showing pure-bred dogs - NATURALLY! ---- lilacs1953 5/07/2007 11:36:43 PM RE: ROUNDWORM-BOO HOO!!
