I used to call them minute vacations (maybe longer) when I was working. I was the office mgr. and secretary (only female in the office) for 13 males plus all the conservation officers in the district. I sometimes wonder how I managed 29 years. Hello, I have been having tonsillitis almost yearly for the last 30 something years. I also get strep throat. Until the last few years, it always ment a round of antibiotics. I no longer take antibiotics . When I feel the first irritation, I put 3% peroxide into one of my ear canals, and let it bubble for a couple of minutes, then dump and do the other ear. I then gargle with peroxide mixed with 1/2 water, and wash my whole mouth out with the peroxide mixture. After rinsing with water, I take a big glug of my homemade, heavy duty colloidal silver water, and gargle with it and swish it in my mouth, and hold it there for several minutes. I do the colloidal silver swish and gargle several times a day til it is completely cleared up. I then take 2 beta glucan caps, some oregamax, and olive leaf extract. I take beta glucans every 4 hours, and oregamax and OLE, with meals. I also try to eat some raw garlic. This will usually clear up any throat infections within 2-3 days. Tonsillitis and strep throat is not something that is " cured " . It is something that for most people, re-occurs throughout life. That is why so many surgeons are so gungho to cut out tonsils in small children, they know the infection will re-occur, and the tonsils will atrophy or rot. An old doctor told me something once that I found very odd, however it does provide relief. I was in his office for tonsillitis, and was complaining that my tonsils were so big that they trapped food behind them and that swallowing was difficult and painful. He said " When they get like that, give em a good poke or two with the end of your tooth brush.
