Guest guest
Hello to all: I am dealing with a kidney infection, apparently. The clinic did a dip of my urine and came up with blood, white blood cells, and some other stuff (can't remember it all). So they gave me Flagyl and another big horse pill I can't remember the name of (antibiotics). They made me very restless and edgy so I had to stop taking them... I'm hypothyroid and it's quite a feat for anything to make me edgy! Then they gave me a shot of Rocephin and put me on Augmentin. The pain in my kidney (only one hurt!) began to subside but after a few days on Augmentin I got such a terrible case of diarrhea... I couldn't keep anything in, even water came right through me. I've been eating yogurt like it comes out of the faucet, trying to repair my intestinal imbalance, and it's getting better now that I've been off the antibiotics for several days... However, the kidney infection is still present and now the pain has returned. Am I just destined to die from kidney infection complications or dehydration?? The clinic suggests sending my urine to a lab for cultures, and giving me more Rocephin and putting me on a sulfa drug (Bactrim). Does that sound reasonable? Any advice (or sympathy! lol) is appreciated. Thanks, Kim (St. Louis)
Guest guest
Geez I don't know what to tell ya. I guess maybe you could try to find an herb that will help flush your kidneys out. Burdock Root would be a good one. I don't know if you take a probiotic or not but maybe try finding one in pill form to help put it back in balance. This is all I can suggest but I hope that you get better. *hugs* S.S. , " sherbet93 " <sherbet93 wrote: > > Hello to all: > > I am dealing with a kidney infection, apparently. Guest guest
Your natural flora has been interrupted when you get diarrhea. Good bacteria culture need to be restored. ProBiotics will help. They will also help with the kidney. Fresh unsweetned cranberry juice does wonders for kidney infections. Drink lots of water to flush. A parasite cleanse and fungus cleanse will also help. Parasites can also live in the kidneys and they fed on fungus. So you have to get rid of both. The more antibiotics you take the worse it can get if you are not replacing the good flora in the body they destroy. When everything is settled down do a kidney cleanse, but not until the infection is under control. You can make things worse. I have access to Probiotics in a packet that you add to your food, rather than pills or capsule. I prefer this when adding good flora back to the body. Also a very good parasite cleanse program. And lastly work on reducing stress in your body and environment. This has a lot to do with infections and weak immunity. Guest guest
Is it a kidney infection or a bladder infection? If you can tollerate acids try unsweetened cranberry juice. Also check out Clear Tract on the web. I have a bladder disease and the people I know swear by it. I have not tried it yet. Make sure that the doctor checks you for c-diff. That is a g.i. bug that you can get from the Augmentin. It is very common that the antibiotic is so strong it kills all the good and bad g.i. bacteria and then you pick up c-diff.... I was on CIPRO for 3 years. I have been off of it for 3 years and manage my health concerns with diet and homeopathics. Check out Hyland.com Are you running a fever? Did the lab show bacteria? A lot of time docs give us antibiotics prmaturely. Bactrum is a good lower level broad spectrum antibiotic. IF YOU HAVE TO BE ON ONE! Definately take a probiotic and try to minimize your processed sugar and flours as you are at risk for a yeast infection. I hope you feel better soon! Guest guest
Kim, One thing you need to do is to discover WHY you got a kidney infection in the first place, or you may never get over it. They usually start in the bladder and then work their way up to the kidneys. Women get bladder infections from a variety of things, like wiping incorrectly after urination or BM's, not emptying your bladder often and completely, or after sex, wearing clothing that is to tight. It can be a lot of things. You may need to change the way you do things in these areas. Augmentin is notorious for giving a person the runs or a major rash. I know someone on this group will give you good advice and point you in the right direction for healing. Be posistive and don't give up and, most of all get your kidney's healed up. , cheryl bullock <cooee.shari wrote: > > Try large doses of garlic for 10 days, celery juice, vir c, perhps rosehip tea > > dontae980 <dontae980 wrote: > Geez I don't know what to tell ya. Guest guest
Pineapple and Papaya contain enzymes that help with the digestion in the body. Someone who does Swedish Massage, acupuncture and also Reiki can help with the massages on the points in the feet that will release the lymphatics. However if the bowel is not eliminating properly, draining the lymphatics is only a bandaid. You'll get backed up again and more sick. Oil of Oregano is excellent in helping with infection. Colloidal Silver can help, but it can also cause metal toxicity if too much is taken for too long. Rife Frequencies can help with infection and bowel issues such as parasites, same as the Zapper can. Biofeedback encompasses all of the above and more. It addresses the cause of the infection and not just the symptoms. Guest guest
Most people clear up kidney infections fast with golden seal and dandelion leaf/root combination in capsule form plus unsweetened cranberry juice. Parsley tea can be added to cranberry juice for extra help. Usnea and Uva Ursi in tincture form are very good. 1 dropper full every 3-4 hours. You can alternate the herbs every 3-4 hours. Drink 3-4 cups of the cranberry juice and/ or parsley tea a day. For the runs drink very strong black tea. Limit the sugar intake also. Acidophilus caps would help..Eat bananas to replace the potassium loss from diarrhea. Golden seal and Usnea are strong natural antibiotics. Flagyl is usually used for vaginal infections, does your Dr. suspect chlamydia or trichamoniasis infection caused the kidney infection? If so, did he suggest that your sex partner be treated also? Even after the kidney infection subsides, I would continue the dandelion and golden seal for awhile. Keep an 8 oz glass in the bathroom and drink a glass full of water each time you urinate. A gallon of purified water next to the glass would be good. If you have a tube top, wear it around the kidney area to keep them warm. Take warm baths with Epsom salts, 2 cups per bath and soak for at least 20 minutes to help with pain. Peace, Thyme ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
---bob beck and see the videos on google Dr Robert Beck Energetic-Medicine researcher 1925-2002 Dr Robert Beck was a physicist, who has to his name a PhD in physics from the University of Southern California. Prior to USC Dr. Beck was a Professor at the University of California. Dr. Beck is known as a renowned researcher and inventor in the field of Energy Medicine devices. Amongst his achievements he is accredited with a version of the Brain Tuner. This device has been successful in helping to alleviate anxiety, addictions, insomnia and depression. As he initially trained as a photojournalist he applied his inventive flair and curiosity toward flash photography. He was the inventor of the strobe flashlight. He has been nominated by a Mexican hospital for the Noble Prize for his research in developing an Aids cure. Bob Beck formed his first company specialising in the development of a powerful electroencephalograph unit. Through his company he conducted extensive research on the electrical properties of the brain. From this research was born a powerful electroencephalograph unit. After reading articles on a 'black box' device, developed by a British surgeon, Dr. Margaret Patterson, he became increasingly interested in the potential of electricity and the brain. Dr Patterson had developed this 'black box' with Dr Wong of Hong Kong an expert in electro-acupuncture. Though its inventors to help reduce symptoms of recovering drug addicts used this black box, Beck saw other potential for this device. Bob Beck used research and technology from the black box to develop his own device. He called it the Brain Tuner. Based around the principal of frequencies it used over 200 specific frequencies to encourage the rejuvenation, healing, and rapid re-stimulation of the neuro-transmitters. Bob Beck's research then led on to look at the effect of electrical frequency on the lymphatic system. Working on the basis that many viral infections ay shelter in the lymph nodes, he developed a magnetic pulse generator to induce electricity in specific nodes around the body. Beck's work in this field led him to do much work with HIV and AIDS patients. His studies also highlighted ionic/colloidal silver as a natural antibiotic, providing a potential alternative to the somewhat clumsy approach of pharmaceutical antibiotics. He went on to elaborate his research by creating devices able to make colloidal/ionic silver at home. Bob Beck went on to lecture and give demonstrations at health trade shows around North America. It was at one such show in Seattle, in 1996 that a couple (Russ Torlage and Lesley Punt) came across Beck's device. Lesley Punt was suffering from M.E. of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the couple were at the Seattle show looking for possible ways to alleviate her condition. They took Beck's device and redesigned it, making it an accessible tool for public use. In pursuit of improving the affectivity of Beck's device Dr. Beck introduced a protocol. Along with the both blood electrification the protocol also includes the making of ionic/colloidal silver, and the ozonation of drinking water, thus increasing the level of oxygen in the blood. What is The Beck Protocol? There are four parts to The Beck Protocol. 1. Microcurrent therapy for cleansing the blood Over the years, while enjoying the fruits of a successful career as an acclaimed physicist, Robert (Bob) C. Beck, D.Sc. maintained an interest in electro-therapy for health. When he heard that viruses and other pathogens had been deactivated in a medical research study by the application of microcurrents of electricity to blood, his considerable intellect and ingenuity were aroused. While the medical research suggested the application of microcurrents similar to dialysis with the blood flowing out and then back into the body, Bob Beck developed a system to apply microcurrents to blood without invading the body. He developed a simple system for applying these microcurrents by placing electrodes over the wrist arteries. 2. Magnetic pulsing for tissue electrification After considerable experimentation on himself, friends, acquaintances and a few individuals diagnosed with AIDS, all reaped some health benefit. Soon, however, he realized that the blood might be cleared of viruses or other pathogens but these same pathogens could be temporarily hiding in the lymph system. To create the necessary microcurrents in lymph and tissue to neutralize viruses and other pathogens, he developed a magnetic pulse generator. Pulsed magnetic fields create microcurrents in lymph and other tissue. 3. Drinking ionic/colloidal silver Bob explains how he awoke at 4:00 a.m. one morning with a sudden insight. He knew colloidal silver had been used extensively prior to the advent of antibiotics. He awoke with an insight on how to make colloidal silver electrically—easily and inexpensively. Thus was born an industry for the manufacture of home units to make colloidal silver. Ionic/colloidal silver is made using 99.99% pure silver wires, distilled water and an electrical circuit. 4. Drinking freshly ozonated water By this time, Bob Beck was on the lecture circuit at health shows to make his discoveries known. At his lectures, he also provided papers with information about his work and the schematics to build units. These lectures gave Bob an opportunity to talk with many people who had either bought or built his units and were using them to improve their health. One problem kept recurring. Many experienced flu-like symptoms as a result of the die-off of the pathogens. The body was not able to expel the toxins fast enough. Bob always stated the importance of drinking enough water to help flush toxins but one day he realized adding ozone to the water would speed the detoxification process. Ozone is a great detoxifier but ozone was generally only available using expensive medical devices. Bob visited a fish supply store as he knew they used ozone to keep the fish tanks oxygenated. Eureka! Bob and his friends started freshly ozonating a glass of water before drinking it. Bob used a pulse oxymeter on the finger to measure blood oxygen saturation and discovered, water saturated with ozone would increase the level of oxygen in the blood. Thus the fourth part of The Beck Protocol was added—drinking freshly ozonated water to help flush toxins. A big advantage of The Beck Protocol is that it can be used in the privacy of your home. The effectiveness of The Beck Protocol has spread worldwide—largely by word-of-mouth. People around the world have found the tools offered by The Beck Protocol have helped them heal and recover … from minor ailments to debilitating diseases. SOTA Instruments Inc. collects testimonials from customers who use the units. We have published some of these testimonials in The Beck Protocol Handbook. Bob Beck gained confidence in SOTA Instruments as a company that offered a high standard of quality. He endorsed SOTA as a supplier of units for The Beck Protocol. For blood electrification and making ionic/colloidal silver, SOTA offers The Silver Pulser. For lymph and tissue electrification, The Magnetic Pulser. For freshly ozonating drinking water, The Water O3zonator. For making ionic/colloidal silver only, The Silver Maker. See our Recommended Products section. See Electrifying Books & Videos section for a video How to Use The Beck Protocol. This video features Dr. Eliezer Ben-Joseph, ND as host. With three guests asking questions, he provides all you need to know to use the protocol at home for personal health. The Beck Protocol Handbook package includes Beck's original papers, testimonials and Bob's 1983 talk on The Brain Tuner. The booklet Electricity for Health in the 21st Century is included with the package. This booklet provides amazing insights into the electrical nature of the body and the history of electro-therapy. A new video, An Introduction to The Beck Protocol will be available in 2003. It will offer health practitioners who have experience with the protocol, individuals who have had profound healing experiences with the help of The Beck Protocol and an interview with Robert C. Beck. The video includes lively interviews exposing the politics of health as well. See our Researchers to Know section for details about Bob Beck's electronic instrumentation, brain research and more on the birth of The Beck Protocol. Beck, D.Sc. January 14, 1998 (The complete process is described here in detail to allow anyone to successfully achieve recoveries and insure that the currently proven methods will never again be " lost " or suppressed.) WHAT YOU DO: 1. Apply salt-water moistened electrodes over Ulnar and Radial arteries on opposite insides of same wrist. A Velcro® and elastic strap holds electrodes in place. You must electrify blood for one to two hours every day for three weeks. This should not interfere with other activities. As your blood circulates normally, enough will be flowing along this path in forearm until most blood in your body is eventually treated by the 50 to 100 microampere current flowing internally. About 3 to 5 milliamperes is necessary at the skin to overcome resistive losses through tissue before current reaches blood. 2. Drink 8 to 16 OZ of 3 to 5 ppm self-made Silver Colloid daily. Costing under 1 cent per gallon, colloids are shown to easily control opportunistic infections. This gives you a second intact immune system. Colloids can be generated in the same water while ozonizing. 3. Apply your magnetic pulse generator for about 20 minutes daily by positioning and pulsing coil over lymph nodes and internal organs. Pulse each time it recharges at several second intervals. Pulses of high intensity time-varying magnetic flux generate a measurable back e.m.f. in adjacent tissue thus neutralizing any residual germinating and incubating pathogens. Without this step, sufferers have been known to sometimes reinfect themselves. Conventional permanent magnets positively will not work. 4. Drink as much ozonated water as you can comfortably ingest daily. You must generate fresh ozone yourself each time and drink immediately since ozone has a half-life of only a few minutes. All known pathogens and cancers are anaerobic. Ozone aids their elimination by oxidation and speeds your detoxification and recovery with no discomfort. Consuming ozone water flushes neutralized pathogens, wastes and toxins from your system. THESE FOUR STEPS WORK SYNERGISTICALLY AND ALMOST MAGICALLY AND SHOULD BE USED TOGETHER. AVERAGE TIME FOR RECOVERY IS UNDER A MONTH. If you are not technically oriented, you may skip the following. HOW AND WHY YOU must DO THIS: 1. The blood electrifier and silver colloid maker are usually combined in one small plastic box, typically 3-3/4 " X 2-1/4 " X 1 " (cigarette pack size) containing one outlet for wrist electrodes and a second outlet for colloid making. A single 9 volt transistor radio battery drives a voltage tripler, and a single-IC-chip switches the 27 volts from negative to positive 3.92 times each second. A biphasic square wave with sharp rise time output is fed to a 3.5 mm jack connecting to two 3/32 " stainless steel electrodes 1 " long each covered with two layers of 100% cotton flannel saturated with dilute salt water. A potentiometer allows users to adjust output until comfortable. Red and green LED's show polarity reversal (essential for safe blood electrification) and overall system functioning. A grain-of-wheat lamp indicates current flow when making ionic colloid. Precise electrode locations are determined by carefully feeling arterial pulse points on opposite insides of same wrist and positioning saturated electrodes precisely along the paths where arteries come closest to surface. Locations are critical, since objective is to supply maximal current into blood and not waste it in surrounding flesh. Typical impedance measured from electrode-to-electrode may be as low as 2000 ohms. Adjust output for strongest comfortable level. Schematics, parts lists and detailed instructions appear in [elsewhere in these lecture notes]. Anyone can build his own system: you need buy nothing except replacement batteries. However commercially available systems are inexpensive, reliable, and are usable immediately. 2. Ionic Silver Colloids of excellent quality and freshness are easily user-made as follows - Pure silver (99.9%) 14 gauge electrodes, providing anode and cathode about 6 " long, are immersed in an 8 OZ glass of room-temperature water (tap or distilled) and the 27 volt DC output is applied for about 3 minutes in tap water and 20 minutes in distilled water or until water appears milky. Stir and drink immediately two or three times daily. I ozonate the water while making colloid and drink the combination immediately. Some prefer " golden " colloids, easily made by using only heated (150 degrees F) distilled water in Pyrex containers with electrodes activated for ~20 minutes. Store silver colloid in dark brown bottles. Keep out of light and do not refrigerate. 3. MAGNETIC PULSER: This extremely useful tool neutralizes active, hibernating or incubating pathogens being normally processed in lymph, spleen, liver, skin, kidney, stomach muscles and other tissue. It is easily made by purchasing or winding a ~2.5 millihenry coil and driving it with a 35 to 70 Watt-Second (Joules) electronic flash or " strobe " . (A Joule is (1/2 CV^2) where C is in microfarads and V is in Kilovolts.) A self-wound inductance coil of ~130 turns of 14 or 16 gauge, plain enameled magnet wire works well. A 2.5 mH audio speaker cross-over coil is prettier. The coil is simply wired between one electrode of the strobe flash lamp and its capacitor. The device, if self-made, costs about $27 and is vasty more powerful than $5000 to $7O00 commercial devices of far less measurable power. The coil kicks a steel washer several feet into the air when pulsed thus showing the " occult " (invisible) energy going into your body during use. A typical finished device (Future Tech Today, USA 1-(866)-747-7447) tests 600 mfd, 330-350V, 36 WS, 21,429 Gauss, 105 Amperes peak, 17,850 Ampere Turns pulse rise time ~1.8 microseconds, pulse duration ~2.6 milliseconds, penetration ~8 " in tissue. It and its AC power supply fit in a box 1-1/2 " X 2-5/8 " X 4-1/2 " with an external applicator coil 2-3/4 " diameter X 1-3/8 " thick on a 4' cord. (These details are offered for professionals only.) 4. OZONIZED DRINKING WATER: Before adding this final step to the " magic four " , we had some very uncomfortable full-blown AIDS patients while they were detoxifying. All are now completely well and symptom free. By simply drinking ozone-charged water, most of the benefits of ozone use such as insufflation (ozone enemas), autohemotherapy, ozone injections and blood bubbling, Oxygen Bars and Hyperbaric Oxygen chambers were easily surpassed and made simple and inexpensive. Tanks of " medical oxygen " (identical to welding oxygen) require medical prescriptions. Ozonized water is made from oxygen in ambient air and costs nothing. MAKING YOUR OWN: You can purchase ozone generators legally in tropical fish (aquarium) stores. Preferred is the 200 ML Sander (brand) ozonizer used with an aquarium aerator pump. Air pumped through a bubble-making " stone " is passed through chilled water. Depending on the strength ozone maker you buy, water becomes " saturated " in a few minutes and must be drunk immediately. You can see an increase in % blood oxygen saturation which often reaches 100% within minutes. Do NOT use ultra-violet (cheapest but almost useless) generators. Use ONLY cold-corona high voltage ozonizers. Construction and use is fully explained in my main paper. Error! Hyperlink reference not valid.
