Guest guest
I certainly agree about this pill. I was reading about it in the newspaper and told my daughter that I didn't think it sounded safe at all. We were meant to have cycles for a reason and no one yet knows the long-term effects of forcing a halt to our body's natural rhythm. Even if they market the drug only for women with painful periods, soon many women will want to take it because they view their periods as a nuisance. Just my opinion. Guest guest
Do I ever agree with you, Kim! Our bodies were created to self regulate and flow in a most magnificent manner. Somehow along the way, Western medicine and The Big Pharms have decided that women's natural stages of life are " bad " and should be managed and/or completely deleted! There isn't enough time to go into the various aspects of how our hormone and chemical laden diets affect our systems. As a homeopath, I see dozens of women who are suffering post-hysterectomy symptoms, as well as symptoms due to having taken birth control pills for years. To think that taking a pill to halt periods would be okay is simply arrogant (and somewhat insane) to my way of thinking. I say, celebrate your womanhood! Our hormonal system is not a spigot which should be turned on and off at whim. Keep moving, eat organic and well, find quiet time in your day; love yourself and others. Let's do our best not to mess with Mother Nature. Amen. Cathleen Springer Certified Homeopath www.cathleenspringer.com , " sherbet93 " <sherbet93 wrote: > > I certainly agree about this pill. Guest guest
I agree with both of you. And this is just another way for Big Pharm to make money. In everything, just follow the money. Guest guest
I was disturbed the first time I saw the commercial on tv, that is not natural! Personally I was on a low dose birth control pill for 10 years until I was introduced to the natural lifestyle and after discontinuting use of the pill my body was out of wack for months. I even developed adult acne which I am still fighting off. Birth control pills are not good for you and this one has to be worse the the others. www.bettermyhealthtoday.com , " sherbet93 " <sherbet93 wrote: > > I certainly agree about this pill. Guest guest
I don't wanna sound mean or crazy on my first post, but I do have to say that I very much disagree with you on this topic. I have had pcos since before I even had a period. (which wasn't hard cause I didn't get it till I was 16, after I was forced to receive it through hormones) Now maybe if you are a normal woman, then you feel all happy and awesome and a period is just a small inconvenience, but every time that I get my period, I get deathly ill. I don't eat for 4 days cause my stomach hurts so bad, I am nauseous all the time, I fart all day long, become pale as death, crave meat, lose every will to move, breath, think, or live. So if there is a pill out there to help me deal with that, then yeah I might consider it, cause when i weight the options..... the lesser or two evils. > > Do I ever agree with you, Kim! > > Our bodies were created to self regulate and flow in a most magnificent manner. > Somehow along the way, Western medicine and The Big Pharms have decided that > women's natural stages of life are " bad " and should be managed and/or completely > deleted! Guest guest
Hi, My request to ladies that they should not take any such pill which can stop their menstrual cycle for good. This will definitely invite undue complications which will pay a heavy dividend. It is a natural course gifted by God. More it continues the best for the ladies. Guest guest
Just a quick observational thought. I know there are some people that stuffer quite dramatically during menstruation, I'm not just talking period pain, I'm talking throwing up and flu-like symptoms every month. Just thought I'd throw that in to the pot, to be honest even with problems like that, I still don't agree with this pill. , " Margi " <Margi wrote: > > I agree with both of you. Guest guest
And I am sure that many of these issues could be very adequately addressed by means such as Homeopathy or Naturopathy or many other " Alternative " modalities, without having to take a pill and mess with what is a natural occurrence. People who do suffer severe problems during menstruation are obviously showing symptoms of deeper issues that need to be addressed and this can't happen if you are covering up the problem with a pill and leaving the real issue un-treated. Typcial " conventional " method of covering up the symptom while ignoring the real cause! huggs Lyndall ---- Geraldine 31/05/2007 8:54:14 PM Re: new pill to stop menstrual cycles Just a quick observational thought. Guest guest
If proper and transparently scientific understanding of the bio-facotors is part of the early curriculum for both boys and girls ,will these Mumbo-Jumbo quacks make such a quick penny on this bogus trade? I share the concerns of Lisa. " Lisa F. " <malica98 wrote: Exactly what I was thinking... I do hope not too many women jump on the band wagon for this one...
