Guest guest
Hi Jenny~ You can purchase The Rhodiola (Planetary Formulas Rhodiola Rosea Extract) from a great and inexpensive website called Vitacost.com. Ive placed two large orders with them so far and they have great customer service and products. If you google Vitacost coupon codes and give them the code number you will also get an additional 5% off your order. The best thing about it is there is only one shipping charge of $4.99 whether the order is big or small. Hope this helps you and let me know how you make out!! ~Donna 0-------------- <0-------------- wrote: check twinlabs or natures herbs... rhodiola is a diuretic. - rainysnana Friday, May 25, 2007 3:06 PM Questions on Rhodiola Extract and Pantothenic Acid My Naturpath has suggested I get Rhodiola Extract and Pantothenic Acid. Guest guest
I am a 57 year old woman living alone with a teenage daughter who lives with both father and me with a flexible schedule of when she comes here. I am presently being told by an ex doctor to take Diovan for high blood pressure, but I don't take it, regularly. I have no medical insurance, and when this bottle is emptied, I cannot afford to buy more until I get full time work so I break a pill in half and take it every other day. Sometimes I allow days to go by before taking a half pill dose because I am running out the door early in the morning to answer job calls as a substitute teacher. Honestly....I don't want to take it. My ex Doctor told me that I must take this pill. Without insurance, I have written to him about the prescription, but he doesn't even answer my letters because he wants to get paid for his advice. Lately I have been craving sweets and salty things. I am trying so hard to reduce my weight that sprang up 20 lbs. in the past few years due to severe duress and stress. My BMI is in the overweight category. I am moving all day long, doing heavy physical chores on weekends outdoors on my property, I teach all week. My job ends in a week and I will have no income. I have no benefits. I keep busy 18 hours a day until I collapse. I must work as I am a single head of household. I am exhausted, cannot clearly think when I get home I am so tired, and I forget to take pills, supplements, and find that I sometimes lose consistency for long periods of time like daily journal entries. I cannot even find this journal that has important information in it. I feel fragmented and overwhelmed and overworked. My heel spurs are back and so is plantar fascitis. I am doing the toe stretching, and foot massages, and soaking in epsom salts for general all over stiffness and achiness Beside the high blood pressure, I have high cholesterol and a sudden onset terrible tooth ache ...a tooth that was worked on and worked on.......capped several times, broken off, re-set too tightly around the gum line just one day before the Medicaid insurance ended in February 2007. It is now pulsating with throbbing pain and is sensitive to hot and cold as well as pressure. I cannot afford to go to the Dentist, but I think this Medicaid Dentist is incompetent. My first question is: What can I take or do for this toothache? Obviously, there is inflammation. Today I took a baby aspirin to reduce pain and ate a cup of sour cherries (can only bite down on left side of mouth) My second question is: If I stop taking in anything salty or sweet through strict disciplinary dietary measures, and continue with meditation and yoga, and I take Rhodiola, which is a diuretic, do you think I could control my blood pressure? in loving kindness, Linda ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Certain foods can reduce inflammation in the body and certain foods can increase inflammation. A Google search on foods that cause/prevent inflammation can turn up lots of good info for you. Walnuts, flax seed, and salmon can help your blood pressure. It also sounds like you need to take a look into the Glycemic Index diet. I do not know about herbal remedies, so I will stop here where my helpful info ends...I wish you the best! Guest guest
There is a saying that " once a BP patient always a BP patient " meaning thereby that there is no such thing as a permanent cure for high or low BP.Everyone has BP but it has to be within safe limits as worked out by expert medics who know their job.safe electronic instruments may help immediate calibration without going out of home to a hospital or a doctor. To avoid the prescribed dosage of DIOVAN, or for that matter any other ,and indulge in self-medication through reduced and procrastinated doses will add to one's mental stress aggravated by excess eating of desirable/undesirable food,( you have said it) ,which in course of time adversely affects BP levels, through high cholestrol as noticed in obeisity. These are symptomatic of higher maladies than BP.Economic reasons are no rationale for self-delusion.I am sorry to find that an experienced teacher does not seem to think about her actions and the consequences. No wonder your Dr. is signalling thru his silence. Your detailed account indicates that you are overworked in mind more than in body and that needs be addressed first : have faith in your Dr. who knows better than you yourself regarding your body functioning and don't risk too much of your health by over-stretching your body's natural limits of tolerance. To sum up,forget the job-hunting trips for a while, save on fuel and time , get back to the dose and family doctor and then a short break to a friend who likes you. Forget ther rest. By God's grace and timely goodsense you should become all right. keep in touch always. Wish you speedy normalcy and safe limits of high BP. Guest guest
Hello, The quote you shared below is a belief system that I personally don't buy into and I hope others don't either. I went from 145/95 to 110/70 by changing my diet, utilizing supplements and herbs, managing stress and by working with my thoughts and beliefs. This was many years ago, and today my BP remains totally normal. Quotes such as this keep people stuck, IMHO. Michelle There is a saying that " once a BP patient always a BP patient " meaning thereby that there is no such thing as a permanent cure for high or low BP. Guest guest
Hi, Try clove oil for your tooth. Guest guest
place a clove on tooth and suck--this will help but only as a temp solution as the cloves will also aid in the decay of the tooth-----gargle with salt water to ease infection in gums-----swoosh around mouth after cleaning------use a soft tooth brush and massage gums well to stimulate circulation. i am also on property facing the same dilema-all is a balancing act--------see if you can get someone reliable to share with you--------- it will offset the bills and the work load------it sounds as though you are overloading and can't cope-whoever moves in -make it a prerecquisite that they help set up your food supply-------- if you can save on food -it will help you to survive-------i don't like sharing but sometimes we have to realize that it is easier if we have some help------sharing means help with money and some things taken care of but you will have to adjust to SHARING lisa a <angelswings44 wrote: Hi, Try clove oil for your tooth. Guest guest
Try meditation as well-if you are stressed -you may have depression and anxiety--i had it all-my beautifull kids have left home now but those early teenage years nearly drove me insane-keep your sense of humour and remember that your teenager is just growing up and they are not in the same rythm as us and they are still learning-set your boundries-do not loose your cool and don't move the boundry-i had a very forcefull daughter that nagged and nagged me till she got her own way--------it drove me to the brink-it was easier to let her have her way than to argue the point-just so i could get on with my work which she would not help with--so i had it all on my shoulders-------i wasn't well either so i didn't have the emotional strength to argue or inforce my LAWS, but my doc said i had to set the boundaries and stick to it and i did--we argued a bit for a while but refused to do anything for her at all untill she towed the line and amazingly enough it didn't take long before she started to help and respect me a lot more----i would refuse to take her to her interests till she did her chores-it was like watching a comedy as i'd sit and eat my dinner and not even get redy to take her till she did her share--- try a few different tecniques-firstly explain in a non hostile voice -what is going down from now on-so she doesn't feel you are angry-just not a work horse-----if you can get her to help plus a flat mate and grow your food and herbs, your financial and phycological situation should improve----there has been a few good advice on here this week on blood pressure---------also cholesterol------well there is alot of information on lowering cholesterol---number one-eliminate as much fat from your diet as possible------i watched a programe -there is 2 types of cholesterol----------one helps to eliminate the other-------eggs have the good one---but read up on that yourself-my doc said no to eggs but after watching the programme-i ate 4- or more eggs per day and watched my diet-my chol-reduced significantly---walking is the best exercise---i never stop moving about----like you there is allways something to do ,however it is not the right sort of exercise-you must do a min of 5 mins day and night and build it up or you will overload -physically and mentally=====it helps to eliminate toxins and get circulation happening---Make sure you join a group where you go out at least once per month to encourage your own self developement and to have a break from your every da-y parenting-it is good example to set for your teenager too. sometimes your teenagers are surprized to realise that us stale old snails have a life and interests- i once took my daughter to Syd and we were invited to an old reunion at a leques club-my daughter came along as i was going but didn't really want to go----when we entered the room, everyone there was 60-70 and up and my daughter was asking how long this was going to take-well these old bags started talking about what use to go on in their days and the history of the area and my daughter could not believe thst these oldies on walking sticks were so wild--she realized then that we are all human, all learning about life and living it,she was a little different to me after that-mind you my son would have walked out as soon as he looked into the room-so they are all different-the main thing is that you don't over load-----if you can't manage all the wok then it may be time to rethink your life style choices and adjust what you can to improve your living for the future, sometimes we get hungup on a lifestyle that we can ill afford or survive--ask yourself what you are geting from the experience and what you would like to have-if you want things to be a bit easier and can't share your space then consider selling and moving to something smaller, closer to town and amenities where you can get work--either go and rent or sell what you have and relocate--do it before you get stuck where you are or rent the place an move around untill you can make up your mind lisa a <angelswings44 wrote: Hi, Try clove oil for your tooth.
