Guest guest
Gentlepeople, The FDA just asked for comments by Wednesday May 23rd on new rules to label chemically altered toxic foods as " organic " foods. Under the proposed FDA regulation, food manufacturers would be allowed to include a wide range of chemicals and genetically modified foods in " organic " foods without any disclosure and legally label those foods as organic. The chemicals to be allowed without disclosure of any kind include rodenticides, insecticides, herbicides, bacteriacides, coloring agents, preservatives, taste enhancers, appetite enhancers. I wonder if some of these chemicals are added to cover up the bad taste of dead insects, bacteria, rodents and some organic chemicals. But according to the proposed FDA guidelines, none of this ever needs to be reported to the public. I'm sure this makes some sense because all of these toxic chemicals are " organic, " so the foods containig them must also be " organic. " While most of Europe has sufficient research to prove genetically modified foods are harmful to the human body and particularly the human immune system, here in the USA the research is inconclusive. In layman's terms what that means is the chemical companies cannot prove genitically modified foods are healthy for us and they do not need to disclose any research showing these foods are harmful to us. If you disagree with this kind of logic and governmental stupidity, please sign the petition on the bottom of this page: http://www.democracyinaction.org/dia/organizationsORG/healthfreedomusa/campaign.\ jsp?campaign_KEY=11431 Please do it TODAY! Then forward this message to anybody you know that cares about our dwindling right to eat natural, healthy and chemical-free food. Peace, John
